You can make the cat die by old age in rp and contact your leader, or you could put a finder to have someone to kill them. @ TeamInkBot (this may not be accurate, Im kinda new)

you can just get them killed in rp. just like, ooc, say 'btw i want my cat to die' so you just rp it out. i'm pretty sure you don't need permission to die @ TeamInkBot

Character death doesn't require permission as long as it is YOUR character. You could have them attacked and killed by predators during an outing, potentially drown, die of medical conplications, or as Sootsplash mentioned, you could set up a finder to find a potential murderer for your character.
