WindClan Galewood

A gigantic, aged maple tree carpeted in leaves that servers as WindClan's meeting place. It's surrounded by ferns, overgrown grass, and bits of twigs and towers at the back of the camp with antler shaped branches that provide shade depending on the season. When a gale blows the leaves fall like rain to the ground. A large hole sitting in the front of the thick trunk it serves as the leader’s den and under its knotted roots lays the medicine den.

This was going to take a long while to get used. As soon as she had settled what business she needed to take care of, the leader, leaped upwards onto the thick branch of the maple tree she had decided to dub as WindClan's Galewood. Her claws dug into the bark, tail swing out to balance her. She knew she wasn't going to fall, and had no problems with heights, but there was something so different about being stuck seated on a tree branch over the flat, solid surface of a rock. It was uncomfortable, she'd adjust, just like everyone else, but that did not wipe away the stern front on her face nor how her fur would bristle as the branches above her shook when a strong gale surged through the camp.

Little by little, the clan seemed to be adjusting to life in their new camp and new territory. It's been some time since Twilightstar called a meeting for promotions, reassignments, and just to all around inform the clan about anything going on. The announcements she made back in their old territory, their own, she had taken for granted the normalcy of everything until it was no longer there.

"WindClan, gather beneath the Galewood for a Clan meeting." Twilightstar yowled from her perch, alerting all the cats within the camp and clearing. Perhaps seeing the clan gathered around her will put her more at ease.

The leader did her best to try and look like she had been in a tree before, but the fluffed-up pelt and the way her tail fur was bushed out said otherwise. The lilac she-cat give up after a moment, resigned to the fact that she was going to look a fool no matter how she fuss. If the clan found it amusing, she'd take what happiness she could get from them. Not everything that would be told would be grand news.

Mothpaw, still healing from their severe burns, could only shuffle themself to the entrance of the medicine den. Pale green eyes turned up to where Twilightstar had called the meeting. Ah, it had been a while since he had heard those words. It felt almost nice to hear.

A yawn escaped the young calico as she heard the leader call out the familiarly unfamiliar words that signified the start of a meeting. Truth be told, she was exhausted. Between all the injured, the need of herbs, the incessant nightmares, and her own side research, she'd barely had a moment's rest. Still, she had never been one to miss a meeting. Finding out about things second paw was never as reliable as getting information straight from the source. Besides... there were things she was curious about. Namely anything concerning Maplepaw's death. That ShadowClanner had been... horrible, really. She knew she shouldn't be, but a part of her almost wanted Twilightstar to declare ShadowClan an official enemy, if only for the chance to rip the stranger to shreds for their audacity.

Getting up from her nest, Lightningpaw stretched, shaking away the anger bubbling inside. The anger was good for a little while, but it burnt away at her remaining strength far too quickly. It made her impulsive and illogical. She could not afford that. Not when she had patients lives to take care of, no matter how much she wished to swipe the smugness off that dark warrior's mug... permanently.

Dark limbs carrying her out through the still unfamiliar tunnels of their new den - it was surprising how quickly the old one had become home, no doubt due to her constant visits as a kit - a flash of cream fur caught her eye, a large ear twitching as she neared the tree's base. It seemed Mothpaw was starting to feel at least partly better, judging by his place at the den's entrance. Sitting down at the other edge of the dip leading through the roots, Lightningpaw spared a cautious side-eye at the older apprentice. She hadn't really spoken much since they'd come from the warren, and she was still riddled with guilt at the mere sight of him. Still... it was her job to assess his condition, wasn't it? Make sure he was improving?

Turning to look in his general direction with a cheeky smirk, her eyes carefully avoiding his she mewed, "I see you are up and about gracing us with your presence, eh, Handsome?"

Yep there we go. What a well thought out, logical way to ask him if he's alright. By potentially making him angry. Way to go Lightningpaw. Stars above... I really need to talk to Cowtuft on tips to not sound so hare-brained around patients...
