Catches held fast in her maw, Wrenpaw leads the charge back into RiverClan's camp, tail held high and rather proud of herself. She'd successfully hunted something! Two things, actually, even with a sort of... lackluster lesson. Ok, well, no lesson, just a demonstration, but she'd made the most of it, and that was more than enough. Spotting the Lionheart who had assigned the patrols, Wren makes a beeline for Dusklion, ignoring the irritated twitch of her whiskers at the thought of reporting to the other cat.
"Dusklion," she says, getting right to the point and taking careful attention to not give even the slightest hint of respect in her words and tone of voice. "I've finished the hunting patrol, but I took Frostmelt with me instead as Ponddrop couldn't be bothered to do more than show up after being assigned." Her tail swishes furiously behind her for a moment, but she regains her control a second later. "Nothing else really happened. I caught a mouse and a vole, Frostmelt caught a few more things. That's all." Without waiting to be dismissed, Wrenpaw picks up the prey she caught and goes to drop it with the others on the fresh-kill pile.

It was cute, the way Wrenpaw seemed to lay every ounce of disrespect into her tone. Dusklion just watched her with an unimpressed expression as she approached. She'd heard the whole debacle of the 'paw calling for another warrior since Ponddrop didn't seem to care for their duties outside of showing up. There was a praise working its way up her throat to deliver to the kid for fixing the situation, but Wrenpaw turned and stalked away before the head Lionheart could say anything. Dusk scoffed and rolled her eyes, taking note to call Ponddrop over with the rest of the punishment she'd be delivering.
With the crab's limp claw stuck in her jaws, Sweetsong rushed into camp, her eyes wide with worry. Spitting the crab down, she blurted out to Dusklion, "Did Wishpaw ever come back? She disappeared while I was showing her how to catch a crab," The small ginger tabby's voice was a weak and thin whisker away from a wail. "I-I barely looked away...I searched for as long as I could....did anyone see her come back?" She gazed at the Lionheart with eyes practically swimming with tears.
She hated to think...what if something awful happened?

The state that Sweetsong came back in, late, Dusklion might add, had the fur along the head Lionheart's neck rising. Wishpaw had disappeared?? What? Just as the dark tabby was about to open her mouth, the apprentice padded into camp and up to both her and Sweetsong. Immediately the head Lionheart relaxed, though her tail lashed in frustration. "You don't wander off, 'specially when you're out on patrol." She had some anger too for Sweetsong for not keeping a better eye on the 'paw. "'N you need to keep a better eye on your patrolmates, 'specially when they're 'paws. You're a warrior, Sweetsong, 'n this lack of attention to Wishpaw is concernin' considerin' you're her mentor. Outside of that, you're back very late, though I assume that's because you were lookin' for Wishpaw here." Dusklion gave a shake of her head and sighed. "...I won't punish you for that. It's clear you understand the gravity of the situation." It wasn't something she wanted to do, necessarily, but Dusklion didn't see any point in punishing either of them. Sweetsong was obviously remorseful, so Dusklion dismissed both of them with a flick of her tail.
Oh sweet relief! Wishpaw was there! Sweetsong was about to say something, but Dusklion beat her to it, and then turned her scolding to her. Usually, she would have taken the scolding and sulked, but her anxiety had been spiked, and she snapped at Dusklion, "She was beside me one moment, and then gone the next while in the middle of a lesson." Her brow furrowed, and she shook her head. "I need to speak to Fadingsun...I'm just not cut out for this...." She turned a hard look onto Wishpaw, "I am very disappointed." Was all she said.
Sweetsong's head and tail dropped, and she slowly walked away in the direction of the warrior's den.
Wisjhpaw felt even worse when Dusklion scolded her nd Sweetsong said that she was very disappointed in her. She knew she deserved it but that didn't make it any easier. Sure she hadn't meant to wander off but she still had. Feeling terrible she headed to the apprentice den, wondering how she could make up for her mistake. @Tallow @Tiabrb

These patrols are due on May 1, 2024 at 11:59 PM Eastern! If you need an extension, please make sure to ask me in time, otherwise I won't be able to grant you one. If you want to be replaced, please let me know no later than April 24 at 11:59 PM Eastern!

Without a deputy, Fadingsun was still doing patrols himself. He liked the job, otherwise he would’ve given it to his sister to do. That, and she’d done a lot lately; she deserved a chance to step back for a little while.
Situating himself in his usual place, he began to call out patrols.
“Cloudheart ( @JackHunt_17 ), take Morningmimic ( @Ladiebugg ) and Braverusset ( @braveleopard. ) to the ShadowClan border. Don’t you even think about causing trouble there, I swear to the stars above.”
Optional prompt: After finishing marking the border, the patrol decides to have a little fun by racing each other up a short tree. Problem is, once they all get up to the top, nobody has any clue how to get back down.
“Seabreeze ( @Dolomedes ), take Duskleaf ( @Seamrog ) and Appleberry ( @Forgetfulshape ) to the ThunderClan border.” A Lionheart and two (as far as he could tell) sensible warriors- that shouldn’t cause any problems for them.
Optional prompt: While marking the border, someone comes across a strange, gray, shiny leaf (tinfoil). What in the name of the stars is this?
“Owltalon ( @Marigoldwhisper ), take Slatestripe ( @/occultation ) and Mudsmoke ( @burntToast ) to the WindClan border. Please, for the love of the river, do not cause more problems for us.”
Optional prompt: While marking the border, someone on the patrol stumbles upon a fox skull. Does anyone decide to keep it?
Optional prompt: Someone fumbles a prey catch pretty bad, and are late reporting back to the patrol spot as a result. Embarrassed, they decide to tell a story about a spirit messing up all of their attempts to catch something, until finally leaving them be. Are they convincing or not?

Optional prompt: Someone bites off more than they can chew, and they get their claws stuck in a particularly large fish. They’re flung into the river as a result!

The sun splattered the world in rays, filtering through the thin canopy of newleaf, sparse from the river reeds and windswept valley. Nestled in the crook of the river was the clearing, where Eveningthaw found himself alertly awaiting a patrol call.
And just as expected, he was called. Trotting down the slight incline to sit at the heed, awaiting his patrol mates to turn up. Sparing a cursory lick to his paw and brushing fur down behind his ear, his head tilted slightly and ear flicked in patient contemplation. Garlicfeather and Fadedshade? He wasn't sure he had ever had any significant interactions with either, though he was always pleased to get closer to his clanmates however he could.

Seabreeze made his way over swiftly as he heard his name from his leader. Patrols, Seabreeze liked patrolling. It made him less anxious to know and see for himself the activities that happen along the border. He shook out his fur, stretching with a small yawn. Hopefully, the Thunderclan border wouldn't be very eventful. He listened out for the names of his patrol mates and he wasn't actually sure if he had heard of these two before, which could be a good thing. If he hasn't run into them that means they weren't avid troublemakers at the very least. Duskleaf and Appleberry. He nodded to himself before calling out softer than his leader had, "Come along then." Seabreeze stood and waited for the pair of warriors to show.

Duskleaf heard his name being called for a patrol. Surely it couldn’t be possible to find worse than his last patrol? He hadn’t met his patrolmates Seabreeze and Appleberry before, but then he heard Seabreeze's voice. Quickly he tried to clean up his fur a little bit by removing multiple of the leaves stuck to him as he usually did before first impressions to look less disorganised, but within seconds a gust of wind blew more leaves onto his fur, and he sighed annoyance before padding over to where Seabreeze was. He gave a respectful nod, then looked around for Appleberry.
Status: Alligator bites are focused on the down stroke of their bite. YOU CAN HOLD THEIR MOUTH SHUT. [YAY]

Appleberry immediately bounded over, a smile of pure joy and childlike energy on his face. "Heya guys! We ready to get this patrol done?" He asked in his enthusiastic tone, trying to hype the other cats up so they were happy and ready for the day. He loved to make people smile, which is why he was so optimistic. @Seamrog @Dolomedes
Cloudheart wouldn't dream of messing with his former clan. "Morningmimic ( @Ladiebugg ) and Braverusset ( @braveleopard. )..., lets go to the Shadowclan... border." He said.
