Firefang stretched from his post as guard. It was dawn, and he proceeded to get as much rest as possible before Blazestar called them to battle.
Shadow, who was awake since before Firefang went into the warriors den, got up and as he left his den, couldn't help but glance at Bramblepaw in the apprentice's den. His pelt warmed, but something interrupted his daydreams. Come on! I know you have a crush on her, but you only need her for the plan!
Can you leave me alone? Shadow replied in his thoughts. HA! Of course not! I'll be stuck here forever, and that means you're my pawn in this world! I'll take over completely one day, and it'll be painless for you, then I'll plunge the world in darkness, alongside my friend, who'll rid herself of the other soon. Shadow felt as if he was frozen. You wouldn't dare hurt her.
Says you. Shadow sighed. Bloodshadow will never leave him. He was doomed.
Bramblepaw awoke in a beautiful meadow, like the one she imagined her FanClan would be in. She still hadn't thought of a better name than BrambleClan though. She seemed to know this was a dream from the start. Echoes of... Something were all she could hear, and fireflies danced. It stayed like that for the whole dream.
Blazestar sat on the leader rock, waiting.
Foxbite sat on a flat stone, waiting for Icebite to wake up.
