Hmmmm Id need staff to confirm however some assumptions I'd make is that taste could mean that when you eat prey you can taste if its poisoned from even a lick and tell if the mouse was healthy/what it was eating! It also might help with herb discovery as (while there is still risks) a cat with heightened taste might be able to make a guess about what it might do far better then a normal cat!
Also stuff like is a water source safe to drink from from a single sip maybe.
