My oc Shadow is a very important character to me, as she was my first ever oc, and this plot is to help flesh out her backstory and fuel her character development. As such, if you get involved in this plot you will be along for the ride that is Shadow’s life.
Shadow was raised as a kitty pet along with her littermates, Ash. Their mother was a clan cat who fell in love with a loner, who died when the mother was almost due to have them, heart broken, she left the clans and wandered until she came across a two leg who took her in. She was only going to stay until Shadow and Ash were old enough to walk. Realizing this may be the safest way to raise them until they were old enough to decide whether to follow her back to her clan, she decided to stay. Ash and Shadow grew up very close to each other. They were inseparable, rarely seen without each other, and inconsolable when forced apart. They talked about anything and everything, and while they did fight from time to time, they were usually resolved quickly. One day when Shadow and Ash were 4 moons old, they were playing in the yard when a rogue came jumping over the fence. He threatens the two kits, and when their mother came charging in to save them, it resulted in a deadly fight that left their mother dead. Horrified, Ash and Shadow attempted to run inside but the rogue caught Ash, killed him, and mauled Shadow, leaving the claw marks across her eye and the permanent limp.
Plot:
Shadow is minding her own business while looking for a new temporary den when she comes across [Ash]. She’s surprised and wary at first, but immediately gets the feeling that she can trust this cat, which only scares her more and she tries to push him away. They last in somewhat friendly terms (friendly on [Ash’s] part and not so friendly on Shadow’s). Maybe a few days later Shadow come across [Ash] being attacked by some other cats and immediately jumps in to help him. They immediately form a fast friendship. Neither cat think much of it, except for Shadow, who is a bit unnerved by trusting [Ash]. Meanwhile, [Ash] Is very slowly beginning to gain bits and pieces of memories that were part of his old life back, while Shadow begins receiving dream visits from [Mother], who is gentle but determined on telling Shadow about clan life, while Shadow is just happy to be visiting her mother, and doesn’t take the clan comments seriously. This goes on for awhile, and the two steadily begin to form a family-like relationship, a lot like when they were kits, though the two chalk it up to them being such close friends. Until one day, when they are exploring a new territory to possibly make a permanent home. There, they meet the very same rogue that killed [Ash] in his previous life, and the mother of them. The meeting begins very hostile, especially on Shadow’s part, and it quickly bubbles into a fight. Both Shadow and [Ash] are injured in the battle, but the rogue ends up dead, so that’s a plus for everyone, right? Wrong. The second the battle is over, Shadow has an anxiety attack brought on by the memories of the attack that killed their mother and [Ash’s] previous life. While [Ash] is trying to comfort Shadow, all the pieces click into place, and he finally remembers what those bits of memories were, who Shadow is, and what his old life was. When Shadow finally recovers they head to their new den and both receive a dream visit by [Mother], who is ecstatic that they finally found out and are together again. The three have a joyous renunion, and when Shadow and [Ash] wake up, they realize that maybe, now that they somehow managed to reunite, they can fulfill [Mother’s] dream for them to join a clan.
Which is a whole ‘nother plot.

I will be VERY picky, but other than the set personality traits, you can pick names, appearances, the rest of the personality, ages, etc. Also, you can rename Ash, of course.

Gender: male because id like him to have the role of Ash just with a diffrent name. Maibe once the plot is done ill have his pronouns be they/them. Maibe it could also be male at birth but before the plot swiches to they/them?

They liked that they could hunt when they felt like it and take night walks along the edge of the forest. Thier belly growled. Thinking of food, I should probsbly go get some! they thought. She rose to her paws and leaped of the rock and onto the big strech of moorland infront of her.
What would you like to change and why?: As I said before, maibe he could be born male them before the plot switch to they/them?
