Tigerlily groaned at having an apprentice but this one seemed... able somehow. Like he'd be worth a rat's tail. He padded forward, leaving his beloved behind for a moment, and stood next to Ashenpaw. "We start training now young one." he growled, not caring about his condition. He'd be able to gather moss and water for the queens and elders. Then they would work on his idiocy.

Snowpaw looked around for Lightningeyes so she could start. After spotting them she padded up with a bounce in her step and smiled. "Hi, I'm Snowpaw!"

Their eyes slightly narrowed, they nodded. They then pointed to their mouth, shaking their head no as if they couldn't speak. Then he pointed his tail towards the entrance, as in saying if she wanted to go explore out for a bit. His diluted lime green gaze looked back down at her, wanting to know if she known much, he went ahead and traced a paw down below making a question mark and a 'T' meaning training.

Silentpaw was too excited over her new rank to process the threatening things Dawnstar was saying, but at least she knew what was being said. "Thank you," she said, dipping her head low to her leader. At least Silentpaw had some manners to her name.

(umm, I'm not sure how to roleplay a mentor, how do I do it?)

Wolfstrike sighed deeply. Oh, how she loathed that Dawnstar. In her mind, she had already killed that arrogant excuse of a leader. Finally turning back to Silentpaw, Wolfstrike moaned. She knew that apprentices meant walking every day with them and being bugged by them. "Oh Starclan help me..." she muttered under her breath. "Okay, so Silentpaw, go do what an apprentice does while I take a nap." she grouched.

But Silentpaw had waited too long to become an apprentice to let herself be disappointed now. What do apprentices do that's different from kits? They help elders with ticks, but there are no elders. They learn to hunt and fight, but I can't do that without Wolfstrike. They collect moss for kits and queens, I can do that!
It was a bit underwhelming that her first act as an apprentice was collecting moss, but she figured Wolfstrike was tired. Wasn't being a warrior really hard work? @Feathercreek

Wolfstrike looked at Silentpaw. Finally she could sleep! "Now who's a good apprentice? You are!" she cooed at Silentpaw. "Now go and get some moss! Then we will have a break, and then learn the borders!" she said, trying, and failing, to sound cheerful.

Embershadow narrowed his eyes at Dawnstar's last statement. He wasn't quite understanding. She had brought in an outsider to help her? How could she trust someone she had just met over the warriors who had put up with her dictatorship and stuck with her and stayed in the Clan for moons? He was outraged. It was a shame that Twilightstar had only taken one life. ShadowClan was in shambles and wasn't getting better anytime soon.

(btw, they use any pronoun)He nodded yes, not showing any emotion on their face as they nodded. They flicked the tip of their tail, before unsheathing a claw and writing on the ground a 'Y', in case she didn't know. Besides, he wasn't deaf, he could understand any cat clearly.

Thornclaw [ @Leafì ], take care of Poisonpaw.

"Nightfur [ @cunning ], it's time you've taken an apprentice, Fallowpaw will be yours.

Picking out mentors was always irritating for Dawnstar. She lacked faith in many of her warriors, and even worse trust, she'd need to see about gathering allies. The few she had faith in seemed to have disappeared and it concerned her to no end. There was no way she'd even bother changing who she was, Dawnstar would just have to see about seeking out like-minded cats, her clan couldn't be that full of softhearted morons and weak-willed mice, there had to be a few real predators among them.

No clue where your mentors are, don't really care. Since none of spoke to me about an assessment, I can assume none of you are ready yet. Some of you are older, I would suggest making sure that your mentor takes your training seriously. It would be a pity if I have to kick you out of the clan for being lazy." She hissed out the warning, claws sliding out as a sharp jolt of pain went through her nerves as she agitated her neck wound. That was certainly going to be looked at, it was irritating her.

More warriors, she needed more warriors, it would be nice if they were competent, but Dawnstar felt like that was asking for too much. Pumpkinpaw might make something out of himself with the right training, she didn't see much potential in the rest, however. Who knew, maybe some might prove her wrong.

"I've brought you a new warrior, an outsider, who so far I hold more faith in than even my clan-born warriors." Was it not sad when their own leader trusted some stranger she just met over her own clanmates. He had more potential in him than the majority of her clanmates had in a single toe. He wasn't a walking disappointment just an annoying one. "Grimhound [ @spade ] will be Badgerpaw's new mentor." Dawnstar felt better keeping those worth something to her together. It was easier to watch them. Badgerpaw she trusted more than Grimhound, with some time maybe her favorite apprentice will rub off on her new mongrel.

Aspenshadow nodded.

Lashing his tail he looked towards the sky, The sun lit up the over cast horizon. Thorn'claw guessed it was about sun high, give or take. " I suggest u get some rest,"He muttered, flicking his gaze towards Poison'paw " We'll be training at dusk, so be ready." and with that he strode thru the crowd of cats.
