Re: The Shadowledge
Badgerpaw looked at Dawnstar as she asked if any cats would go with her to Windclan. He qanted to be close to Dawnstar, but he disliked the rabbits. Why on earth would he want to go to stupid Windclan? He wanted to be a strong cat and be among the strong cats not the weak rabbit chasers. The apprentice saw his mentor pad out and he followed right behind him. He was just ready to start training.
The apprentice took one glance at Dawnstar vefore leaving. He would pray she would come back alright. He didn't want to be a warrior under anyones leadership but hers.

Whisperkit’s eyes widened as Dawnstar went on. She’d taken over WindClan’s territory? Bright skies, what a feat... but what about their leader? And their deputy? What had happened to them?
It probably wasn’t anything to worry about. Dawnstar knew what she was doing. Whisperkit shouldered his way to the front of the crowd, muttering quiet apologies, so that he could stand with the others who wanted to go. “I’d like to go, too, if you’ll let me.”

Re: The Shadowledge
Flowerfern didn't wnat to seem weak anymore so she decided she wanted to go to Windclan to. She wanted to prove herself to her clan that she won't break down in battle. The molly stepped foward. "Dawnstar I want to go too if its alright.", she meowed. She mostly was talking about her brother which speaking of which how would he feel.

“I’d like to!” Pumpkinpaw meowed, staring up at Dawnstar, “I’d like to come!”

Re: The Shadowledge
With a happy roar for the young apprentice she's spent time with Adderfang chanted "Shrewstep! Shrewstep! Shrewstep!" Pleased with how far the tom had come. Now that was a new warrior shadowclan could be proud of, the molly would have to get her own student up to that level soon.
And then there was that announcement. Hmmm. Adderfang didnt really approve of this idea (too many ways it could go wrong, how could they be sure the bunnies were truely defeated) but sighed and called out. "I would rather stay in the forrest and train the future warriors but if you need a warrior that will not flinch from those morons I will go. But only on your order." The mountain cat would not go if plenty others were happy to socialise with the rabbit hearts but if shadowclan needed her there she'd obey the leader unquestionably.
---------
Shrikepaw on the other hand relished the idea whole heartedly. An entire clan of enemies under their paw no one would really miss or feel bad for if they got hurt by stepping out of line? It was a sociopaths dream. So for once he actually publicly stepped out from his normal shadowed spot and spoke, "I would relish the opportunity to pay the rabbits a visit to pay back their past deeds and figure out any actual strengths they have for the clan. Though I really do doubt they have any of note.I offer my claws for the occupying group." Oh how the tom would love to sow some fear into that clans heart personally, shadowclan after all should be feared as a default.

➵ Larkflight
I'd like to come, Dawnstar. Larkflight meowed, eyes cold but shining. But what happened to WindClan? What happened to the leader and deputy? Why aren't they doing anything? She wasn't worried. She didn't care about WindClan. Those soft-hearted cats would have absolutely no idea what happened.

Re: The Shadowledge
Webpaw reconized that name. It was the name of one of the 3 other clans that she had been told about. She was happy that the clan had more room to expand, but what happened to Windclan's deputy and leader? Where are they now? There was no way she was coming with Dawnstar though, she hated that horrible leader. She noticed that some cats were cheering the warriors name in congratulations. She didn't really want to cheer for him but she decided to anyway.

Re: The Shadowledge
[ @ Arie | @ Undertaker (fifth paragraph and onwards) ]
Talonstone watched the tabby stoically, effectively refraining from huffing at her futile attempts to pull him deeper into the crowd. He refused to move. If she wanted to stand with him, then she should stay back, not pull him forward. He'd been standing at the edge of the crowd for moons now, and he wasn't changing that tradition.
The new medicine cat apprentice really did seem like a worm… not to offend with his opinion or anything. He briefly wondered if Ebonyfang was even qualified enough to teach an apprentice; last he checked, the tomcat was still in-training when the former holder of that rank disappeared. If medicine cats panicked, then their subjects were bound to falter, also; seeing the importance of the rank, they should know how to hold their own in a battle.
Really, the most effective way to win a raid would be to target the lead healer. An act of war it may be, but it would cripple the losing clan greatly. Besides, the raid should be enough provocation to put the involved clans on significantly worse terms.
He watched as the other apprentices received their mentors, his interest heightening when the leader called for Shrewpaw. The tomcat's ranking up was long overdue. Shrewstep. A fitting name. The first warrior promoted in moons. Surely, that was an achievement for both parties involved and the general clan.
And then… it came. The admittance regarding the windrunners. He'd already known; Ashfeather accidentally mentioned it last time they met in the Wicked Forest on casual terms. The majority of his clan didn't react too wildly, so he felt certain that his lack of surprise wouldn't cause any suspicion.
His lips twitched upwards into the ghost of a smirk, but only for a split second before his expression returned to its usual, stoic mask. The pine forest belongs only to the blackest of hearts. The warrior agreed, and he would keep those words nearby. They would be the closest thing he had to advise in quite some time.
Much to the warrior's slight amusement, it seemed that all the competent felines wished to follow after their leader. What did that say about their faith in Robinwhisker, he wondered. Talonstone contemplated admitting himself with that group; he weighed the pros and cons before anything else: the good consisted of competent teammates, and the chance to avenge his fallen clanmates, whereas the bad meant that he would undoubtedly feel uncomfortable without the shadows sighing along his back.
Any thoughts of staying behind fell away when Doetuft suggested that she take some apprentices to train in the new territory. How would that work? She would have just as much difficulty navigating around the foreign lands, perhaps even more than the apprentices. As far as he knew, the moorlands were riddled with holes, and the lack of sight would not do one well should they tumble into one of them.
"I would like to come," Talonstone spoke up. "I have no qualms with staying behind if need be; however, I look forward to striking down any rabbit who crosses the line." Did he really? Want to kill them? If they refused to stand down after the first warning, then they were too flybrained to deserve life, were they not? "I have experience residing in the moorlands, and would be willing to share with anycat leaving for the windrunners' territory." Not good experience—hawks had been involved—but enough that he managed to survive for a moon away from the cover of trees. The windrunners' flat territory shared more similarities with the thundercats' and outskirts than they did with the shadowdwellers' pine forest. He'd before nested in both alternate terrains mentioned, and he could use that information to their advantage. Not to mention that at least one remaining windrunner trusted him to an extent. If commanded, he could find a way to bring back information to use against them.

Re: The Shadowledge
wolfwhisper cheered on the new apprentices and new warrior's name, taking a moment to settle down as dawnstar continued to speak. t..they were merging with windclan? he took a few paw steps back, trying to sink further into the crowd. wolfwhisper was better suited for the pine forest. he knew this place -- he knew the best sleeping locations. it was comfortable! no thank you dawnstar, the offer seems nice but someone needs to stay behind.
