Coyotesnarl had said no 'softies' but Yewpaw found herself wandering over anyway. She wasn't sure why - battle training was one thing she actually had experience in so far and hunting was what she really needed to do but... she wanted to join anyway. She needed something to occupy herself with.

Lynxpaw flicked her ears in interest at the mention of battle training. That sounded useful, she knew she needed some of that. Her mentor wasn't often around, so she had to do what she could to get training where she could get it. This sounded like the perfect opportunity. Padding over, Lynxpaw joined the throng of cats, ears perked in interest as she glanced around, realizing she really didn't know that many of the warriors of her clan. That was.... not a good thing for sure.

Beaverbounce was over in a flash as soon as he heard the word battle training. A chance to show of his awesome skills and teach young cats the same thing? This was what he was built for, obviously. He placed himself near the back of the gathering cats, behind the apprentices so they could still see Coyotesnarl but close enough so he would get noticed easily. This was going to be one of the most exciting days in his life. Adding right up on the pile with the many, many other most exciting days he had had.

Coyotesnarl felt an overwhelming sense of pride as cats swarmed to his call. Even Twilightstar decided to show her muzzle. The tabby was about to open his mouth again when he saw leopardpaw. He didn’t expect to see that apprentice ever again, not after leaving camp with Twilightstar the other day? To his understanding she was a murderer... a shadowclan apprentice if he recalled correctly. His claws hooked into the stone beneath him. Well now he had to deal with this before any sorts of battle training could commence.

He briefly scanned the crowd for Twilightstar meeting her gaze and gently tipping his head in the apprentices direction. As much as he appreciated a warrior capable of mauling a shadowclan cat it was uncalled for. Unnecessary. His ears flattened against the back of his head and he leapt from his spot bumping against the leaders shoulder to call her to his side. “Leopardpaw!” He shouted eyes glinting at the apprentice. “To my understanding you aren’t supposed to be here. Correct?” He contemplated adding murderer to the end of his sentence but perhaps it was a little too early for that.

Crowpaw skulked out for the corner he'd been lurking in, avoiding Harefoot. At least this exercise mean't he wouldn't be paired with that oaf but he was still leery about the whole thing. Crowpaw wasn't the most thrilled about the idea of fighting even if he understood it's place in life. Still he padded in and sat near the front waiting patiently and silently for Coyotesnarls instructions. If Creekdash was here maybe they could be partnered.

Wait what was this? He was going to FIGHT?! WOoooh! Stagpaw let out a small squeak as he ran/stumbled over looking for Twiglight. Where was she? If he was going to get punted across the moor he didn't want it to be because he called an angry warrior a name they didn't like, he wanted it to be because he actually failed at avoiding something or it was part of the training. "Twiiggyy wait up!" he yelled as his saw his mentor and tried to run up to her, skidding on the floor and nearly ramming into her but well, he'd made it hadn't he? "We get to learn how to FIGHT PROPERLY!"

Battle training? Oh she was going to win this for a mile! Pumapaw sped out and shook out her fur, the cream coloured apprentice scanning the crowd for a worthy opponent but... didn't exactly care. She knew she was going to beat them and well if she didn't she would go down with honor and glory.

"A warrior we've never met?" Elderpaw had tuned in when battle training was mentioned. "But we live here! We know everybody!" She stares at Coyotesnarl with alarm. "Do I have to train with someone NOT my mentor, you mean?"

Weaselskip was not surprised to see Coyotesnarl on the rock... she'd predicted in a way hadn't she. Nevertheless the grey molly looked around, squared up her shoulders and then slowly made her way over. This would be interesting. Really interesting. Finally she would get the chances to toss some apprentices and that would always be fun. So sitting down she waited for her to be paired with an apprentice, green eyes scanning the clearing for Moonbird but not spotting her. If her mate didn't want to participate in this 'toss an apprentice' event it was her own choice.
