Smokepaw heard her name for a hunting patrol. Beansprout... and Otterslash... She sighed, her fluffy black and orange pelt in a mess, and followed her mentor and his biggest nuisance out of camp. "Where are we going?" she meowed, her copper eyes reflecting curiosity, "I was... asleep when... Ginger announced patrols..."

The warrior led the way as she assumed that BeanSprout was going too inform the apprentice of the patrol information during their walk to the designated location of the hunting patrol. She wasn’t pleased and it showed by her body language and face as she left camp.
It was almost like she was in a hurry the way her pace was set. Her paws making a brushing noise as she almost like jogged towards the clearing. Her ear flicked every 5 steps she took, it was almost an automatic response to her walking. When she left she also assumed that her patrolmates would be quickly following her.
Nightspark arrived, followed by his patrol, and approached Gingerfrost, he reported "ThunderClan's border marked, they have marked pretty strongly their border, like they didn't wanted to anyone to even approach their borders."

Mumblepaw was second of their patrol to re-enter the Settlement. Short and Simple. He liked patrols. Although this one left his nose with a burning sensation afterward, seeing Stonepaw would only prompt questions that weren’t worth the time. However, Stonepaw was his friend. His only friend, in this Settlement at least. “Papa!” He said quite cheerfully towards the ginger tabby upon spotting him. Rushing to his father’s side in a few quick pawsteps as they listened to patrol leaders report. “Oh yeah! I don’t know what that Commander is up too but it’s extremely fishy. The scent was extremely strong, stronger than normal scent markers I would say so myself, uh…I would report that to Beansprout when you see him next. It smells of trouble and secrecy, I don’t trust that Commander of the Storms and Skies. They seem on the defensive as if something bad happened, they don’t want us near and I think they want us to get the message loud and clear,” He mewed, sounding quite serious yet chipper. If that Settlement was planning something, Mumblepaw wanted to be the one to smell it out from fox-lengths away of course. One couldn’t call themself a future Second-In-Command without being able to see danger coming at fast as the river moved!

⋙ Trudging through the RiverClan camp’s entrance, hopefully with Briarfang behind him and Minnowpaw in front, the big muscular white-and-black tomcat hauled the large dead goose over to where Gingerfrost was with a tired huff leaving him as the bird fell to the dirt with a thump. “Patrol has been completed.” Cloudjumper said bluntly, peering at the deputy, “This ugly beast was stomping around in the thicket, so Briarfang and I took care of it and brought dinner home. But don’t worry, all three of us made sure the whole area was well marked and stunk of RiverClan before heading on back here. There is nothing else notable to report.” With that said, the curly-furred warrior gave another grateful nod to his patrolmates and then another to the deputy before grabbing the goose with his teeth and dragging the catch off to the prey pile. He had no desire for idle chit-chat and desired to be alone.
