Starlingsplash glanced around as Glintpaw took off. He heard yowling too. "Could it be...Spiritcloud?" he pondered. He decided to alert Falcon. // Falcon who was playing with Amberkit, was completely shocked to hear this news. "I'm going there right now, she can't be dead," he fretted.

i know ) glintpaw buried her face in the queens fur and heard a barkikng she drew her eyes back in a snarl " LEAVE YOU BEAST YOU HAVE KILLED MY FRIEND AND NOW YOU WILL PAY WITH YOU LIFE! she screamed hurling herself at the dogs face with stregth she never knew she had and began repeatly scratching its eyes then leapt to its back slicing its flank deep then crawling under its belly will iot was stunned and scratched going for vitasl organs it lunged at her but she dove away hooking its foot and tripping the dog it fell and ran away leaving a trail of blood " DO YOU WANT TO SUFFER THE SAME WAY THAT ONE DID " she howled to the rest of the dogs " GO!" she commaned

Amberkit suddenly froze from where she was playing and cautiously follow her father. He had left so fast, and it scared her. Did her siblings get hurt? Was Spiritcloud sick? The only way to find out was to go see what was happening. She heard Glintpaw screeching at some tall, scary looking animals who soon ran away. What happened? She wanted to ask, but she couldn't properly speak yet. Catching up to Falcon, Amberkit looked up with a confused expression on her face. Why was her mother sleeping?

Amberkit hopped up to Glintpaw. The apprentice and her mother both had the gross, metallic smelling red stuff on them. Maybe they had gotten into something, but the way Glintpaw sounded scared her. She sounded sad, and so had her father. The kit prodded Glintpaw, hoping to get an answer from her.

she placed her tail around amberkit " im sorry sweetie, your mommy is dead" she cried " but i kille the dog that killed her " she mumbled nd pulled her close " she was my best friend and i wish to be yours now.. if you will let me " she mewed

Falcon gently wedged in between his daughter and Glintpaw to see the mass of torn flesh on the ground. "No," he whispered "it can't be." A massive headache whirled through his brain, complicating things even more. Spiritcloud... was dead? "I didn't do my job, Spiritcloud died," he said in a somber whisper. He flashbacked to when he had a crush on her. He didn't expect her to have any feelings for him. Then later, he remembered when they confessed that they had feelings for each other at the tree, and got mated there. He was supposed to protect her, but he failed.

(Is trying not to cry)

Amberkit stared at Spiritclouds limp body in disbelief. She couldn't be dead. She can't be dead either! She and her siblings couldn't live without a mother. Who would take care of them now? Leaning against Falcon, the small kit closed her eyes and held back tears. Amberkit needed to be strong even though this was probably the worse thing to ever happen to a kit. "Why won't she wake up?" She asked, not wanting to believe her mother was dead. "Can't we just take her back to the nursery?" Her ears were flattened to her tiny skull. All Amberkit wanted was to have Spiritcloud back. To curl up in the fluffy white fur just once more.

Flamepelt helped Hopestar bring the kits back to the camp, and set them down in their nest. "Get nice and close together, share your warmth."
