Huh...my friends parents already bought an XMas tree... which will be dead before XMas and like everyone's talking about holiday shopping and telling kids(like 3-5 years) remember on Christmas... Or we have church before presents or Christmas is only about 40 days!

people are preparing for that too. it might seem early but you have to keep in mind this is when things are in stock -- if they waited until december they might not get what they want.

people still talk about it. i think it's considered a less significant holiday than christmas / hanukkah / kwanzaa / etc, and therefore warrants less discussion (given thanksgiving is more about buying food and getting the family together, where i believe the other holidays have more thought put into them since they also include gift-giving) but people still celebrate it.

Yeah, but ppl talk alot about Halloween which is dressing up in costumes and ringing doors for candy/buying candy and passing it out to kids. Or Valentine’s day, just confessing your love....which I guess is significant...
