Tigerblush led the way out of camp, padding deeper and deeper into the wood until she felt they were at a good spot. She never had much luck hunting near camp, all the commotion probably keeps the prey away, but out here was entirely different. There were prey scents all over, but the potency of mouse stuck out to her most.
"There must be a mouse den nearby," She commented, turning to face Dreampaw. "I don't mind if you hunt alone, but I'm going to go fetch some mice. You can join me if you like--as long as we both get something to bring back I'm sure it'll be fine." She shrugged lightheartedly, giving him a short nod and heading for the source of the scents.
The den was undoubtedly in use, but it seemed the prey family was hiding and not coming out anytime soon. That was fine though, she thought as her paw hovered over the entrance, focusing entirely on what she was doing. It wasn't particularly graceful, but she successfully scoped out two mice, which she quickly killed with a nip and a slash. Her paw went unscathed, no bite marks left behind, just a layer of dust and some bits of the prey's nest. She shook most of it off her paw, picking up her prey and checking on Dreampaw, wherever he was.

Buzzkit had spent most of his life in Thunderclan camp. He hated and enjoyed the company and safety of his clanmates. But, yet what was out there?
Buzzkit had prepared for his departure from Thunderclan. Nothing was there for him, he didn't have any friends and Family was out of the question. Besides, why grow up to just die to some idiotic fluffball?
Buzzkit had brought a small mouse with him for food. Just in case he can't hunt any food. Maybe he should have taken that hunting class...
Buzzkit had taken some great distance from Thunderclan throughout the night. In order to escape quietly he had to travel by night and sleep by day.
The sun was high and he was looking for someplace to rest. He was still in Thunderclan territory so he had to be careful.
He had stumbled into a strange berry bush. He rolled his eyes. I'm not stupid! I'm not eating random berries. Buzzkit kept going until he tripped on a rock.
And tumbled down a hill.
Buzzkit smashed down hard and rolled for a moment. Everything around him was blurry as he felt his leg go numb. He quietly mewed. The last thing he saw was his leg bleeding before he blacked out.
(Fyi, Buzzkit tumbled down a stiff cliff and hit his head pretty hard. He twisted his leg as well. HE IS NOT DEAD)

Nightgaze was just out for a walk when she heard a loud thump. Tilting her head curiously the small black she-cat padded to the edge of a steep cliff and let out a sharp gasp when she saw it was a kit!
Bounding down without a second thought Nightgaze hurried to the kit's side and leaned down "Good Starclan kid what are you doing out here!?" she asked in shock curling her tail around the kit before she spotted that they were bleeding and unconscious "Don't worry I'll get you to a medicine" she told him softly but determinedly and gently tried to lift him by his scruff.
Buzzkit wiggled weakly in Nightgaze's grasp. Completely unconscious, he bled out from his leg without a response. His breathing was slow and his heart rate was slower.

Dreampaw followed behind her as she lead the way over the territory, somehow managing to not trip over his paws even once. He stopped as she located the nest and considered her offer. He would likely just get in her way, but if he went on his own... Who knew? "Er, I can hunt by my self," he said, though he was not fully confident in his abilities yet. He moved off in a random direction and sniffed the air, trying to decipher the different scents of prey and forest. He found and caught a lizard that was bathing in the sun, missed a bird but caught another shrew. He came back, managing to not get lost, and showed Tigerblush his catch.

The longhaired cat led their clanmates out to the territory. It seemed so nice, just walking through. But stars, why was it so hot? His long hair didn't help either. He soon stopped and sat in the shade. "Sorry, It's just really hot. Long pelt aint helpin either," he mewed. He stood up again to look around. "So lets see if we could find some herbs for springpaw"

The young tortie followed silently, yellow eyes darting around for danger. Her fellow apprentice was much more high energy, circling their shared mentor with a bright attitude, and Fireflypaw felt bland in comparison- but what could she do, right? She couldn't change her personality, and she didn't have the energy to fake it or try to be more energetic, so she left that to Treepaw.
Nodding wordlessly in acknowledgement to Alder's introduction, she didn't feel the need to mention that they had both technically already been out on the territory together. When the camp collapsed. But that wasn't exactly a learning experience, so she didn't add a smart remark. Glancing over at Treepaw, feeling the strongest desire to make friends with the apprentice, she smiled shyly and nodded. "Y-yeah, it was really obvious."
Hopefully Alderstep didn't think she was being rude- she just wanted Treepaw to think she wasn't boring.

A squeal left the young apprentice's body, totally forgetting the stress that haunted her brain. The apprentice was doing circles behind Alderstep as they walked towards and out into the territory. She didn't want to pass him, but she didn't have the self-control to slow down, so circles it was.
Her steps did slow down as the sight of the territory settled in her gaze again. Oh, it was always so breath taking -- it was on the second time being here. "Amazing," She breathed, before Alderstep introduced it as 'the territory'. "We know it's the territory silly, that was so obvious!" She purred a little as she spoke, turning to look at Fireflypaw. She was curious to see their reaction.
Stars, how was he supposed to manage this much energy from only one apprentice? Alderstep flicked an ear, eyebrows pulling together at Treepaw's remark. Right. The whole clan, if they'd been born before the sinkholes, had been out on the territory. Odd how easily he had forgotten that.
Much to his chagrin, even Fireflypaw joined in calling him a bee-brain (essentially.) Alderstep blew out an exasperated sigh. "Yeah, whatever. The undergrowth here is thick - no doubt more difficult for you to traverse when you were younger. Small rodents and squirrels hide out in the densest parts most often, so when you're hunting, check those places first. If you come to a seed-bearing tree, like redwood or yew, see if a squirrel is eating something at the roots. Same for acorns by oaks," Alderstep said, indicating toward the canopies above the trio.
He fixed his gaze on Treepaw briefly. "You know how to climb trees - when you learn to hunt I'll teach you how to catch birds in the trees." Looking to Fireflypaw now, Alderstep added, "And I'll teach you to climb before you learn to hunt." The russet took a pause, catching his breath and sweeping his tail over the leaves littering the forest floor. "But, on the ground, birds are often eating something and will be distracted; however, they also tend to stick together," Alderstep finished. He'd get around to teaching them how to strategize when hunting a flock later, but for now, they were supposed to be exploring the territory, not getting lectured. Got sidetracked a bit, maybe.

"I feel ya," Harefire chuckled, his own pelt hot after the walk. After a moment, he too got up. "Yeah, she wanted..." He hesitated, eyes flicking back into his skull as he tried to recall exactly what she wanted. "uh, celdiline? No, celandine and burnet. I'll go off that way, see what I can find." He dipped his head to the two other cats, then made off to the section he had indicated. The brown and orange warrior began his search, and as Springpaw had stated, they were not hard to find. Well, at least the yellow flowers he found seemed to match the description of celandine that the medicine cat apprentice had given them.

Bumblestar trailed after Spiderthroat, eyes sweeping over the chunk of land that had formerly belonged to outsider territory. The forest was dense, foliage thick and almost oppressive, but she found a sort of comfort in how enclosing it was. There was a hint of the sound of a waterfall somewhere in the distance - she'd go check that out later.
It was irritating how long it had taken her to go out and do this, but she chalked it up to being flooded by everything else. Her eyes darted to Spiderthroat. "Let's get this marked and get back to camp."
