Making her way back into camp as she heard Twilightstar's call, Pinestrike made her way to the foot of the Breezerock, where she had a chance of seeing the meeting as well as hearing it.

The dark tabby tom let out a groan as the call for a clan meeting woke him from a nap in the sun. Rolling onto his belly, he began to groom his face, deciding his current location was fine for listening to the announcements on a nice, sun-warmed rock.

Rabbiteye padded to the freshkill pile and deposited two birds before heading towards the Breeze rock.
he sat by the edge of the group of gathered cats, claws scraping the earth in impatience.

Softkit excitedly trotted beneath the
breezerock, and looked up to hear her
leader.

HERB PATROLS!

[ if you are getting mentioned, cowpaw has chosen your character for a herb patrol! if for some reason your character cannot participate - please allow me to know with a reason so i can have them exempt. if your character fails to finish a patrol, they are subject to punishment! which is most likely going to be on a solo herb run, cleaning dens, helping elders - etc ]

[ these patrols are due on the 14th of may by 11:59 EST! if a patrol is going slow, you have full permission to take it over or finish it yourself. extensions only allowed to be asked for before the deadline! only collect five herbs at the maximum please! when finished, you may have your character report to cowpaw in this thread! i won't reply to the reports but he notices 'em - can differ. any dialogue in italtics is in sign / non-verbally, any dialogue in bold is verbal speech. ]

Herb patrols, herb patrols. The medicine cat was dangerously low on cobwebs - having been so focused on finding marigold, catmint - the list went on! He could simply not allow this, it was long overdue, worrying so, he felt a bit guilty of the shortage. Cowpaw would not allow it to go on any longer. Having adjusted to gathering cats up, the tom began to approach his chosen clanmates. It was time to double up!

"Turtlepaw [ @Shade. ], Shattervenom [ @xath ], Owlglide [ @Spotty ], and Tawnypaw! [ @starry. ] Hello, hello, I have the small bit of a request from you four. I am awfully low on cobwebs - do you mind gathering as much as you can for me? That would be so very wonderful, " Cowpaw signed, smiling brightly at the four. After an answer was received, he bounced off to find more clanmates to .. hehe.

"Vineblaze [ @Bean_The_Cat ], Leechpaw [ @Undertaker ], Vixenlight [ @QueenOtter ], Rabbitpaw! [ @Bliss. ] My apologies, but I need you four to go and gather marigold for me. It is this yellow flower, " Cowpaw signed, placing a piece of marigold on the ground to show them. After he finished, he padded off to find two more clanmates.

"Moonsoot [ @Leo! ], Roserabbit!! [ @Pancake ] Hello, so, I need you two to gather poppy flowers for me! Technically I only need the seeds but it's easier to gather the flowers, I will be so very grateful if you do! Thanks!"

Cowpaw and Poisondrop sit underneath the Breezerock. Cowpaw looks stressed - a weary look in his round eyes. Poisondrop looks a bit too content for his own liking. They both sit next to each other. Ironically so.

Good, Barkbite had found her without issue. She gave the tom a nod and turned for the camp entrance, pushing her way through the heather and gorse before taking off at a job, leading the way to the snake infested hunting grounds.
As she approached the stone formations, she slowed her pace. Turning her green gaze behind her, she watched for her hunting partner to catch up.

He smiled. "Now, Focus on something, and that will be the rabbit. Remember, in a real hunt, you'll have to be quick. So, try that" he mewed, setting his gaze at a movement in the background. It's just prey he thought

Before Mistypaw focused she listened to hear any rustling, she did but she wasn’t sure if she should go after it. She got into a hunters crouch and actually saw a rabbit, she slowly crept apon it and jumped, gripping it between the spine carefully. Unsure of where to bite, she chose somewhere on the neck and snapped it, causing the rabbit to die.

The tom limped a bit into the clearing from his twisted ankle. Sitting down to listen to what his leader was going to say.

The young apprentice bolted out of the apprentices den to join the meeting. She sat down in a shady space that was cool.

As the brown tom padded back to camp with the bird in his jaws, he had to admit he was in a fairly decent mood. It wasn't great, many things weren't, but he felt more relaxed than usual. Maybe it was the little hunting trip that made him crisp.

He placed down the prey on the freshkill pile, before turning his head as Twilightstar's cry called out over the camp. Her voice sounded oddly... raspy, and a light frown danced over the tom's face as he with long strides made his way over. She was alright, he hoped, they couldn't have a sick leader. But she had just been in a harsh fight very recently, so maybe it was just that.

He sat down and calmly swept his tail over his paws while letting his vibrant green eyes rest on his leader. He was sure new apprentices would be made this meeting - a spotted kit was even calling to what Owlglide presumed were her siblings about it. He of course already had Speckledpaw to train, and no kit had really caught his eye lately.
