Land Hunting Lesson with Mistypaw[P]

The new warrior began her day quite early. It wasn't exactly early in the morning, but it was much earlier than it was when she was an apprentice. She had warrior duties now she had to do. She had already chosen what she was going to do she was going to go hunting. Maybe there was someone in camp that would love to join her. Scanning the clearing she spotted a lonely apprentice not doing anything. Perfect!

Petuniafire locked her eyes on them and moved forward. Once she was a couple mouse lengths away she popped the question, "Hey Mistypaw. Bored? I could use a hunting partner, you in?", she asked, keeping her voice calm, but it was completely full of life. She just really loved going on and helping out her clan.

Mistypaw had been grooming her pelt, thinking about Stormtalon. I just have to stop. She sighed, dark amber eyes darting around the clearing as she tried to distract herself. Hazelstorm. Oakwhisker. The names of her current family brought a wave of comfort over her. She had grown to them, even though they were all adoptive family members. After her parents ran away, Oakwhisker had immediately cared for her.

"Hey Mistypaw. Bored? I could use a hunting partner, you in?" The apprentice jumped to her paws at the sound of a voice. Oh... it was only Petuniafire. She sighed in relief. "Sorry about jumping like that," she meowed hastily. "Yeah, sure, I'll come." She was glad that the new warrior gave her a chance to clear her thoughts from everything that had been going on in her life.

"Oh, also, I've never had a hunting lesson before."

Realizing she scared the molly she backed up a bit in surprise. Her ears were now on her head, but not in any negative. Petuniafire backed up just an inch or two to give the apprentice a bit of space. "I didn't mean to frighten you.", she meowed, giving her chest fur a couple of licks in embarrassment. Now that that was out of the way her ears sprung back up and she became more comfortable.

Petuniafire smiled. It seemed all was forgotten now at the sound of a cat asking for training. Her smile was still there when Mistypaw mentioned she had no training in land hunting at all. She was great at it, so she was the perfect choice to get that part of the training done. It was an honor for the newer warrior. "That's alright I can teach you.", she meowed.
