Re: Haggard Ruins
[ ROLLED A 1. Guess that luck didn't last too long. ]
Despite the grip Bumblestar had on this thing, it still managed to surge forward. She might have been able to hang on if it weren't for the sight of her son tumbling from his spot on the old willow tree.
"Wolfhive!" His name slipped, panicked, from her jaws before she could stop it, and she released her hold on the beast's leg to lunge for him instead. Her paws were moments too late, and her momentum pushed her too far, and in a split second, her claws lost purchase in the wood as the beast's weight shook the trunk.
She went falling through air after him. The fisher's enraged snarls above were drowned out by her heart pounding in her ears. One cat had already died falling here. If the same happened to Wolfhive, she would lose him for good. She didn't have another life to give, not after Violetfreckle.
The world blurred around her and then plunged into darkness, tearing her voice away as she vanished right after him. Please, don't make me mourn him today.
(technically not my turn but it's in line with wolf)
