Default Introduction to battle training

She upset, to be frank. Miss Grandmama had called for volunteers to help fight off some troubled beasts – she had come to understand – and aid another clan in the process. Though she wanted to participate, even if it was merely as Mossfreckle’s herb carrier, neither would allow her to come for the simple reason that she had no battle training yet. And Sleepypaw wanted to rectify that as soon as possible. But with Miss Grandmama out and mama looking after the clan, and no proper enforcer in apparent sight, she had little options. Sleepypaw didn’t like asking just anyone for training, and most of the felines were utter strangers to her – normally, she would only seek out an enforcer of higher rank for training, with the exception of those who had something special to offer, for the simple reason that she could trust they were skilled. But today she didn’t have that option, and she didn’t want to dilly dally by waiting around any longer. So she had to do what she normally would never, approaching a random warrior within the clearing.
“You’re a warrior.”
She quite suddenly began, face blank.
“You fight.”
She continued, studying the cat in front of her.
“Teach me.”
