An Unexpected Friendship (Private)

Tear stalked through the bushes, and into a small hollow. She sighed, sitting down on an old stump. Life seemed so tiring sometimes. And, despite the warm weather, there was barely any prey, at least nine that she could find. She heard a snap, and her head jolted up quickly. She pricked up her ears, and jumped off the stump. She stalked quietly. It was a mouse. She could smell it from here. She crouched down, ready to pounce.

There Fawn was walking through the weeds and then her ears perked up and smelt another cat. Fawn bent down with her hair sticking up, she did not know if this one was a threat or not. Fawn saw the molly, she was attempting to catch a mouse. Fawn sat there and watched. Then she meowed " Hi what are you here for!"

Tear had almost gotten the mouse, when she heard the voice. She turned around swiftly, rustling leaves in the process. She turned back, remembering the mouse. It had gone. Fox-dung!, she exclaimed. She turned to face a younger she-cat.
"What do you mean?" She replied sharply. She breathed in, willing herself to calm down. "I, am hungry. So, I was trying to catch that mouse. But, it escaped, and I am still hungry." She mewed exasperatedly.

" Oh sorry! Here have the rest of my rabbit!" Fawn meowed as she placed it in front of the older molly. " Hi I am Fawn! What is your name? and sorry we got off a bad start i normally am not use to others!" Fawn meowed softly. Fawn went to the sunny side and crouched down and soaked in the rays.

Tear smiled gratefully, but shook her head. "Are you sure? It's your rabbit." She insisted. She smiled at the she-cat.
"Don't worry about it. I've been alone most of my life. I don't get to meet very many cats. Oh, I'm Tear, by the way." She replied, dipping her head in greeting. She glanced at Fawn.
"You look a bit young to be out here on your own. Do you live with anybody?" She asked curiously.

Bear pawed around ears pricked for prey when he heard two other cats, whirling around he saw someone through the trees. Suddenly over come with anxiety he froze not knowing if he should go up and talk to them or run.

Fawn meowed " No I was left alone. Any ways you take it I am fine I just need a drink from the stream!" Fawn walked to the stream and sipped some water and walked to her hollow stump. Fawn said " You can stay if you want!" Fawn smiled at Tear and walked int the stump. The stump looked small but inside was connected to a den. Fawn meowed " Welcome to my den!"

Tear smiled at Fawn, glancing at the small stump-den. She might have a drink too.

A scent floated past Tear's nose, and her ears pricked up. Her head turned towards the bushes. It was a cat's scent. She glanced nervously at Fawn.
"You didn't bring anyone with you, did you?" She mewed.

Fawn ears perked up and meowed " No, Follow me there is a spot in here they won't find us." Fawn scurried up to the top and squeezed through the crack that opened up to a smaller den. Fawn whispered " This is where I will hide at night so predators don't get to me." The scent was getting closer and closer fawn was nervous and hid behind Tear.

Tear turned to Fawn, and purred softly.
"It'll be alright." She reassured Fawn. She glanced back at the entrance to the den. She cleared her throat, and puffed out her chest determinedly.
"Who's there?" She mewed bravely, furrowing her brow.
