Well, might as well find and talk to them.
He smelled a faint fishy scent and followed it, to a dark blue-gray bengal who looked pretty scarred up. RiverClan was such a mess, he wouldn't be surprised if she'd gotten those scars in her own camp, by her own Clanmate. "Hello," he said to the former RiverClan cat. I'm Silverpaw, and from what I heard around camp, you're ...Minkpaw? Might be wrong though, rumors fly."
I am most comfortable using they/them for everyone. Let me know if you are uncomfortable with this.

an apprentice she had seen around, not much, but she had been here for almost a moon so the ability of recognising her clanmates was something she had achieved by this point, approached her. silverpaw, she was almost sure to be their name. oriental shaped, white tipped ears twitched in displeasure. "rookpaw." she corrected the younger cat firmly, minkpaw was dead. and if friends from riverclan wanted to insist on calling her that she would accept their effort of keeping 'their' version of her, better yet, seperate her even more from who she had left behind, but a shadowclanner than shouldve attended the meeting addressing her name change should not. "dawnstar was pretty clear about the name change, silverpaw" maybe her voice had a bit too much bite to be entirely neutral, and maybe she was just in a bad mood, but accuse her of anything based on her words, they couldnt.
