Cherrywood padded out of the warriors' den, this lockdown was driving the calico she-cat crazy at this point but she dared not defy Dawnstar’s word, especially not right now. She hummed softly as her gaze swept across the camp, she noticed several apprentices sitting around camp and decided to gather a few of them to do an in-camp training session.

She cleared her throat “Any apprentices who wish to join for an in-camp stealth training lesson, join me in the Elders’ den” The Shadowclan warrior called out across camp before making her way into the den to wait. She hummed softly, her blue eyes narrowed and locked on the entrance as she waited for apprentices to show up.

Coyotepaw heard Cherrywood’s call and followed behind her, he didn’t mind extra training, not like it did any harm. The brown-based black rosette tabby sat in the Elder’s den, feeling her gaze rest on him for a bit before returning to the den’s entrance as they both waited for more apprentices to show up.

His ears perked at the mention of training and his baby blue eyes brightened even more. Perfect! A start before he trained with his mentor, or even better, trained with papa HawkBite. His tail flicked and he stood up, prancing over to the elders den, where the stranger said to join her. Hopefully training was just as easy as he imagined it, and he’d catch on quickly! He couldn’t fall behind at all, nope Nope NOPE!

He had been observing camp, the activities of cats whenever they were forced to be stuck in one place. There shockingly wasn’t much happening despite the whole clan being present. As long as he hid himself, his demons, he would be safe. He didn’t think anyone knew, anyone suspected. Despite the loud loud sound of his heartbeat, nobody heard it. The blood staining his claws, yet he was the only one who saw it. The roaring beast inside him that should have been silenced when his siblings were, but it didn’t come out. He felt something welling inside him yet was unsure what, so he could simply go on with his day. His masks that he put on worked perfectly. Worked for EveningPaw, for RookFire.

He was snapped from his immense thoughts as a warrior called for training. He should probably go huh? Get a start before having to face DawnStar. DawnStar who was smart…strong. Hopefully if he followed with the same initiative as the leader she wouldn’t suspect him? Either way, his paws carried him to the elders den, where he’d actually learn something.

Cherrywood watched as Coyotepaw entered the den and sat, followed shortly by Lionpaw then Darkpaw. She gave a nod of greeting to the apprentices as they entered. She quickly examined each apprentice, pleased that she got any apprentices to join. Her last attempt at training hadn't gone well and then her own apprentice had gone missing, leaving a sour taste in her mouth.

She already didn't like kids, but her apprentice's laziness and then seeing the trouble Wormkit had gotten himself into on top of being directionless when it came to how he existed. She scoffed at the thought, that he was almost at the earliest age he could become a warrior and was still a kit.

After a bit more waiting she decided that it'd be best if she just started the training "Alright, Normally I'd go out into the territory as there's more cover, but we'll have to make do with what we have." Cherrywood glanced around the Elder's den, noting a shady corner across the den. She hummed in thought.

With a nod, she padded across the den "Stealth training is fairly similar to hunting, I assume your mentors have at the very least taught you that. If not, in short, stay low, keep your tail off the ground, and keep your steps light." She said, looking at the apprentices through narrowed eyes "I'm going to face that wall of the den, I want each of you to try to sneak around me without being caught. we'll do this over and over until you all get it right at least once" She said, turning away from the apprentices. She wrapped her tail neatly around her paws, her ears perked up as she spoke "Coyotepaw, you start, next Lionpaw, then Darkpaw"

With that, she fell silent. Closing her eyes as she listened for the Coyotepaw to begin.

Coyotepaw smiled and bowed his head in greeting as the other two apprentices followed his in "Hey" He said, barely above a whisper. He turned his attention back to Cherrywood once she began speaking.

He nodded in response to what Cherrywood was saying, paying attention to what was necessary. The rosette tabby tom listened carefully to her instructions. When she finished speaking Coyotepaw rose to his paws. He carefully crept forward towards Cherrywood, as quietly as he could. The tom's tail brushed against the ground, Damn it. He noticed Cherrywood's ear flick, he knew she'd heard but she didn't move. Why?

The apprentice furrowed his brows as they changed their direction a bit, now approaching the opposite side he'd originally been going for. He paused once he was about a fox-length away before darting forward, attempting to get past Cherry.

He was greeted- oh. “H-h-hi…” he mumbled. Oh hello no. They would know. He had to get his act together for StarClans sake! Then, before he could even assess himself, the warrior started speaking, and he had to start listening. Hunting? Oh hell, he hadn’t even started much training. He had a bit planned out but…in no way would he be ready. Goodness, how long would they be forced to train cause he couldn’t get a simply crouch and walk right?

Then he observed as the other apprentice make noise and he expected the warrior to turn but…she didn’t. Was she going easy on them?…Or choosing favorites? Both options had him antsy.

Okay- he had to be serious (aka total grump). Nobody would take his seriously as an apprentice if he didn’t act matured. He held his head high and sat in front of the warrior upon his entrance, eyeing the other two apprentices that were among them and simply nodding at their greetings, before turning his blue gaze to the warrior-stranger.

She talked and…she expected them to already have some hunting training. No-can-do for this freshly made apprentice. It’s fine though, he was naturally talented! He could do this with ease.

Cherrywood listened carefully, her eyes closed tight as she heard Coyotepaw's steps, then his tail. Of course. He'd always been the noisiest of all the apprentices she'd ever had to deal with. The she-cat scowled, quickly rising to her paws once they were side by side.

The large calico she-cat used her weight to slam against Coyotepaw, knocking him to the side. She watched the large apprentice tumble and then leap to his paws, looking at her through annoyed slits. The warrior didn't care though, only rolled her eyes. Whatever. She turned back to the other two apprentices.

"Darkpaw, you're next." She said plainly, turning back around. Her tail tip twitched as she waited for the next apprentice to make his move.

Coyotepaw was caught off guard by the warrior flying at him. He didn't have time to react before they met. The smaller cat tumbled away, staring back at her through narrowed eyes. The rosette tabby let out a frustrated sigh as he returned to where he'd been sitting before.

His gaze turned to Darkpaw, wondering if he'd do any better. Something was off about this tom but he couldn't put his paw on what specifically. He just seemed uneasy and it made Coyotepaw himself uneasy. He shrugged it off though, watching and waiting.

Oh boy- his turn next? Why couldn’t the obviously more confident one go next? As he watched the warrior slam into the first apprentice, worry bubbled in him, memories quickly flashed through his mind. Please don’t hurt me…his own thoughts pleaded. He started his way forward, keeping himself low (though he didn’t have too) and used his knowledge of stalking prey. He took careful, calculated steps forwards and kept his tail straight behind him above the ground. He believed he had been doing decently well, perhaps an accidental noise? (Up to you)
