Enforcer Challenge Foggymask has challenged Shrewstep for his title as Enforcer!
General rules:
-No one can step into the fight. Doing so will result in punishment and getting booted by any of the Enforcers present.
-Winning does not guarantee you keep/get the rank. Dawnstar has the final say in that decision and Hawk will voice his opinion on the matter.
-Hawkbite will allow claws unsheathed but he will step in if he feels one or both participants are going to kill the other.
-Hawkbite will allow dirty moves, but will step in if things are going too far.
-Hawkbite will NOT tolerate someone else stepping in to tell him how to referee the fight. Dawn and Mistle being the exception to the rule.
-Spectators of any age are welcome to watch, kits will need monitored closely by a warrior and if things get too rough, they will be escorted away.
The meeting had come to a close, so it was time to start the challenge Dawnstar had brought up. Hawkbite moved from the Grimpeak to the center of the clearing, his voice rising and echoing across the clearing for everyone to hear. "SHREWSTEP! FOGGYMASK! TO ME!" They were not going to leave the camp for this since the new restrictions were in place. "Anyone is welcome to watch, but if you step in or try to tell me how to run this fight, I will kick you to your nest to wait it out like you're a kit."
He waited for the pair to approach before continuing. "Claws out is fine, dirty moves is fine, but if I feel either of you are going too far, I will step in and stop this fight," he started, sitting down and wrapping his tail around his paws. "Dawnstar has final say in who gets the title when all is said and done," the Commander warned, giving them both a knowing look.

This ought to be interesting. His father and his mother’s current mate? This was a once in a lifetime experience. Silentpaw came over to watch with a slow stride, fighting the urge to grin. He didn’t really care who won. To be fair, he wasn’t too fond with either of them.

➢ During the meeting this whole “challenge” had been wiped under the nest like some silly thing but it had truly caught her attention. The Apprentice follows her Mentor’s words closely. She was the second cat to appear so getting near Hawkbite was easy enough. Finding a spot close to him but not intruding, to hopefully have him notice that she was at least present for such an event. Hollowpaw sniffles quietly as she sharply inhales, flicking their tail as it wrapped around their paws. Bi-colored eyes staring at the Commander as he said the starting words. Then her attention focused towards the other cats that were sure to join.

Something new was happening. An adult was yowling about something or other. Well, those sorts of announcements tended to precede some interesting happenings, Foxkit found. In any case, there was no harm in sticking around to watch some, so that he did. He padded up to the rest of the gathering cats, amber gaze fixed on the source of the commotion.

Salmonshade looked over to a kit who came. She knew this could get dangerous. She went over to the kit and asked in her sweetest voice. "Hey, hon. This can get dangerous. I wouldn't want you to get hurt. Is it alright if I sit by you?"

Shrewstep did his best to look sort of moderately intimidating as Hawkbite announced the terms of the fight. Nothing surprising, honestly. Claws had always been on the table, that was no surprise. What sort of warrior were you if you couldn't fight with claws? He was sort of enjoying the Main Character Moment, if he was being honest. Even if he might end up getting his ass handed to him by Foggymask. Actually, that wasn't going to happen. He was slippery as a little eel, and certainly wasn't going to go down without a fight. Shrewstep certainly couldn't hope to win this on brawn alone, but he had the brains.
Though generally disguised in his perhaps overly goofy packaging, Shrewstep did have a mean bite to back up his occasional bark. Speed was his friend, and while his balance was perhaps a bit weakened by his lack of a tail, it did mean he couldn't be seized by that delicate limb. On the contrary, he planned to do his best to get at Foggymask's tail, as it had often proved a means of inflicting significant pain if not longterm damage on larger cats. As annoying as Foggymask was (unfit to bear the prefix he regarded as one of the best) and as much as he was hoping to do a good job of this, he shouldn't be trying to maim the other permanently. That would just be cruel, and likely to land him in hot water.
Whether the other tom felt the same remained to be seen, but Shrewstep was thinking more along the lines of 'how can I convince him this isn't worth the trouble' than 'how can I beat him to a pulp'. Not that he had the mass to do any pulping anyway.
His ears were turned toward Hawkbite as the Commander outlined the rules and cautioned spectators away, but his eyes remained trained on his temporary foe. Then, the final word from the commander, and his ears were pointed at Foggymask as well. Immediately, Shrewstep dropped his stance lower. Shorter than usual even, he was a lithe little thing, darting forward immediately. He had no plans of giving Foggymask time to get set and anticipate his intentions. No, he would be rushing in immediately, head on until he was a few mouselengths in front of Foggymask's nose.
A drop of the shoulder carried him slightly to the right (hopefully along with Foggymask's attention) before his left paw came up, swiping behind him across the visage of his opponent. If Foggymask didn't pull his nose back quickly he would be in danger of getting a clawed paw across the face, though probably too low to pose any risk to his eyes. Both because Shrewstep didn't want to hit his eyes, and because he was rather short. Shrewstep didn't tarry about to see if his blow landed, instead carrying on to the right and (hopefully) out of range before pivoting slightly in an effort to ensure he was facing Foggymask fully, rather than risking an attack from the side. @otter#EnforcerChallenge

The scolding from her mama didn't stop her as Scorpionkit seemed to have forgotten how to manage her volume. As the cats were gathering around, the tiny kitten padded straight up to the Commander and the apprentice sitting near him. "HEY HI. PEST IS PRESENT NOW!" Scorp introduced herself to Hollowpaw, specifically. "Who you?! Seem cool. I can friend you, yes!" Scorpionkit decided aloud, not giving Hollowpaw the option for anything else. The dark kitten sat down right at Hollowpaw's toes, her voice was surely booming into their ears.
