Morningkit looked around the clearing, still surprised to see so many cats. Were they all dead like her? She sniffed the air, smelling only the scent of RiverClan. Where's everyone else? She asked herself. She was all alone, again. The only person that could keep her busy was herself.

Featherpaw was lounging in the sun when she noticed a kit, standing alone. She decided to go over to the kit. She got up, stretched, and padded over to the kit. She sat down in front of the kit. "Hi! Who are you?" the small she-cat asked, looking at the kit.

Noticing the larger cat approaching, Morningkit puffed out her fur to make herself seem bigger. I'm... Morningpaw. Even though she wasn't an apprentice, maybe this cat would leave her alone if they thought she was threatening?

Featherpaw looked down at the kit. "Hmmm. Okay Morningpaw" she mewed. She knew that this was a kit but she decided to play along. She also looked to be trying to be intimidating but she really wasn't. But again, Featherpaw decided to play along. "Ah! You look so big and scary!" she mewed, a fearful expression on her face, and she backed up a little bit from the kit. "Oh! Please don't hurt me!"

I know I'm scary! Morningkit scowled. You better run! She flung herself at Featherpaw, claws unsheathed. StarClan warriors don't turn away without a fight! She mewed triumphantly, pricking her teeny claws into her fur.

Featherpaw let Morningkit practically pin her. "Oh the pain! The pa- wait StarClan warrior . . .?" Featherpaw asked, a confused look on her face. She looked at the kit, still confused.

Morningkit rolled her eyes, jumping off of Featherpaw. Why was everyone being like this? We're in StarClan, not the Dark Forest, right? She mewed sarcastically.

Featherpaw looked even more confused. Did she hear her right? She wasn't insane right? She had actually just said they're in StarClan?? "Uhh- no we're not in the dark forest . . . . But we're also not in StarClan . . . a- are you okay . . .?" Featherpaw asked, sounding extremely confused.

I'm fine. Morningkit snapped, glaring at Featherpaw or whatever her name was. It's you who must be insane. What was wrong with everyone? Even Cobwebfern thought that they weren't in StarClan.

Featherpaw opened her mouth to make a remark, but quickly closed it almost immediately. 'You know what, I'm not going to ask. She's just plain insane . . .' she thought. "I think you have fish in you brain . . ." Featherpaw mewed. "I'm really sorry to break it on you, but you're not dead, you're perfectly alive and . . . I think you need help . . ." she said, staring at Morningkit.
