Just as soon as her second patrol had arrived, her ears perked up as soon as she heard another range of paw-steps approaching the camp, just coming out from the medicine den to organize the herbs that her last reported batch came through with. In complete honesty, Springlight hadn’t borne much to state about the patrol report in front of her, allowing her lips to curl up into a smile as the eldest of the medic duo reported their findings. “Of… course… I know… that… you three… would bring… back the… herbs… that was… needed… we will… organize them… later.” By ‘we’, she meant herself and Drizzlecloud, and she made sure to briefly gesture towards herself and the molly by running her tail along the ticked tabby’s shoulders, hoping she would understand.

Wildpaw trotted after the leader with tbe lavender in his jaws. He was trying so hard not pass out. These flowers had a calmness to them and he hadn't felt this calm in a long while. He placed them down next to the herbs Bumblstar had. The calmness washed off and he felt more energetic now.

Large ears perked at the call of her name, her head whirling around to face the leader and apprentices as they came traversing back with herbs dangling from their jaws. Thankfully, the herbalist caught no sight of injuries adjacent along the trio, but her lips curled up into a smile at the sight of her requested herbs clenched in their maw. Most of the patrols that she had been sending out as of late hadn’t been failing her, thankfully, so that was something worth commenting about. Given it was new-leaf, the concept of finding herbs wasn’t gonna be a hard task to do given that it was starting to warm up and flowers were blooming. The calico observed the herbs that the trio collected, nodding towards their findings as her tail whisked side-by-side. “Thank… you for… collecting… the herbs… I requested… you may… go ahead and… place them… inside the… medicine den… for me and… Drizzlecloud… to organize through.”

Finally, with her last patrol arriving, Springlight could counter all of her patrols as completed. She was glad to know that none of them disappointed her with any possible failure, only proving her wrong by coming back with jaws snuffed with herbs. Their impending arrival was deemed fathomable as Shrikepaw came bursting through the entrance, boasting about the herbs they’d caught and landing them at her paws. Glancing towards the hoard the apprentice had brought her wasn’t easy with the sunlight blinding her eyes, but her nostrils easily detected the sharp stench of sorrel among the pile, so her assumptions towards his gathering weren’t too far off. The medicine den could use more of the herb. The last stash that she had grew wilted and she had no choice but to dispose of it, so the young feline bringing back a small stash made her hopes brighten up inquisitively. She’d also assume that they gathered up a few sticks and moss for bleeding and binding any broken bones together. Her eyes enlisted with approval, the calico brushed a paw briefly among their pile as she nodded approvingly towards the feline. “Good… for you… catching the… herbs that… I wanted… Shrikepaw… You’ll make… a decent… warrior someday.”

She gave the apprentice a quick smile and whisk of her tail, dismissing the apprentice as both Dragonflycliff and Eggbite came back with their stash of herbs. The molly admitting that they were done wasn’t much for the medicine cat to respond to, the molly only eying her collection of herbs before glancing towards Eggbites, still iffy about the last failed patrol that the other molly did. She hadn’t come back with herbs before, so she wasn’t certain if she did the right thing this time coming back with the herbs she needed. Thankfully, she also carried her own stash of herbs, therefore making the calico more pleased than not to see that all three of the cats came back with maws snuffed with collectibles. “Good… thank you… lot for… finding these… herbs… now please… place them… in the medicine… den so… I can… organize… them out.” A relatively simple task and it wouldn’t be much for them to do, she’d assume. She was already clearing out old, wilted herbs that had needed to be disposed of, it wouldn’t hurt to replace those old herbs with clean, freshly bloomed ones.

[Drizzlecloud has called for herb patrols, and if you’ve been mentioned, you’ve been placed on one of them! If you do not wish to be put on a patrol, please vm me and request to be replaced within three days of the patrols being organized. (If you want to be replaced, let me know by April 26th)

These patrols will be due by May 3rd at 11:59 PM EST. If you need an extension, please let me know before then, however, you may ask for an extension up to three days after the due date (May 6th). If this is done, you may still be subject to very minor punishment (such as a scolding, as well as Drizzlecloud’s disappointment!).

Lack of communication whatsoever will result in a moderate punishment. Communication after the due date will result in a minor punishment. Communicating that you are not able to finish the patrol on time/asking for an extension will result in no punishments.

When it comes to replies, bumping someone after 48 hours with no response is acceptable, but after 72 hours you may skip their turn.

The medicine den’s herb storage was slacking as of late–a lot of herbs had gone bad, and they were certainly in need of restocking ASAP. So, after making up a small list in her head, Drizzlecloud toddled out of the den, her head hanging low as she made her way to the space beneath the stormcrest. “Thunderclan! Herb patrols! Gather, please!”


Patrol One: Marigold and Cobwebs

“Mudhound[ @Rani ]? Hello~” Drizzlecloud purred out her friend’s name jovially as she gave the tripod a nod. “I’ll be sending you, Sprucejumper[ @Alchemist Kitsune ] and Lightningpaw[ @Fish ] to Cattail Pond.” She paused for a moment, head tilted to the left as she peered at one of their newest warriors. “Sprucejumper, congratulations on completing your training.” The congratulations was mewed quietly to the warrior upon his arrival before she continued.

“I’d like for you three to look for marigold flowers. The flower itself has many petals, and it’s colours are usually a bright orange or yellow. The stems themselves are a prominent green colour, and they usually bloom in groups rather than on their lonesome. They smell very sweet!” Drizzlecloud explained, nodding along with her own words as she spoke them aloud. “...And, if you come across any, try to bring back some cobwebs!”


Patrol Two: Poppies and Cobwebs

When she was done sending off the first patrol, she shifted her gaze to pick out the next few cats among the crowd. “Eggbite [ @Ladiebugg ], could you lead a patrol for me?” She called out softly, waving her tail invitingly to the warrior. “Bring Sunleap [ @Katiethewolfchild ] and Elkpaw [ @dino. ] with you to Firefly Cove.”

“You three will be looking for poppy flowers. Poppies are bright red flowers with lots of little black seeds. The seeds are generally what we want, but it’s easier to gather up the flowers themselves, you see… And, if you can manage, try to scrounge up some cobwebs too.” Drizzlecloud nodded her head to the group, waving them off encouragingly. “Enjoy the cove! It’s quite beautiful as it gets warmer out here.”


Patrol Three: Juniper Berries and Stinging Nettle

Last patrol, but certainly not least! “Cunningshrike[ @redshiftreign ]! Hello!” Drizzlecloud trilled at the sight of the tom. “I’d like for you to lead a patrol for me. You’ll be taking Dragonflycliff [ @hermeswind ] and Poppypaw [ @Estelle ] along with you! Do take good care of each other while you’re out.”

“Juniper Berries and Stinging Nettle are what you’re after–and they’re both fairly easy to find! You can easily find each just by wandering the dry parts of our territory, but I’ll be sending you to the Thunderglade today. Juniper Berries are a purplish-blue colour, and you’ll find them on bushes with dark, spiky leaves… They have a strong scent. Stinging Nettle on the other paw, they grow alongside stinging barbs, on large stalks with spiny, green little seeds. Be careful not to ingest these, and also do be careful in bringing them back. They might leave a tingly, stinging sensation on the skin. Just be careful handling them, okay?”

Ah it looked like Lightningpaw was going to have to spend her valuable time picking at flowers. Ugh. Thankfully she wasn't busy doing actually important things as she already finished that so she guessssssed she could pick some stupid flowers. Getting out of the camp was nice at least. "Alright losers lets get this over with." She huffed. Hopefully they didn't take that seriously, it would be annoying.
