Fight of the drowsy bird
Hm. Rookfire wasn’t among those she held in particular high regard; she wouldn’t have known the enforcer’s name, even, had they not been warriored at the same meeting. Rookfire had spent such time with mama besides, time Sleepysunrise would’ve rather spent with mama herself but alas; she had been focusing on her training, as had mama with her duties, much as their lack of conversation pains. But what Rookfire did have going for him is being an enforcer, made by Miss Grandmama herself. And after seeing the display of a spar Hawkbite held within the clearing with what’s their name, Sleepysunrise had come to the conclusion that she wanted to spar with Hawkbite – beat Hawkbite – before engaging in spar with her grandmother. But for that she required training, and who else to ask than a fellow enforcer of… a slightly similar age. Somewhat. Rookfire was nearly twice her age at seventeen moons but Sleepysunrise paid that no heed; they could both use the practice.
“Spar?”
As all the she asked in all her bluntness as she approached the fellow enforcer, vibrant eyes locking onto the taller feline.

Re: Fight of the drowsy bird
[ short and awkward, sorry but i dont have the brain capacity for more rn . @ Estelle ] rookfire had not expected sleepysunrise to approach him with anything any time soon, (in all honesty he kind of got the impression lostsparks gaggle of kits preferred to stick to each other, or cats that had probably been apprenticed with), so when she approached, the tom had approximately 5 seconds of internal panic thinking he had done something wrong and trying to figure out what that mightve been, before his fellow enforcer spoke a single word. 'spar?' well, that was anticlimactic. or maybe he had just been dramatic. either way, the dark pelted enforcer rose onto white tipped paws, still careful to avoid the foreleg attached to his broken and slowly mending shoulder as best as possible, and gave the molly a nod.
"paws off my shoulder though" he warned, taking a few steps back to make room for what was to come, before absentmindedly stretching out long limbs, silver eyes fixed on sleepysunrise as he waited.

Re: Fight of the drowsy bird
Oh. Rookfire was still injured. She blinked, slowly, eyeing the enforcer's shoulder with a certain intent before meeting his gaze and giving a slow nod. She could abide by those rules... Right. She couldn't be rude and harm the warrior all the more. But if so, then she could only hope Rookfire would abide by the same rules and keep away from any still-healing wounds, though they were a scarce few. The bite in her paw, mostly; little could be done about the rip within her right ear. Getting into position, facing Rookfire with an upright stance she was mildly surprised to see the crouch again - a brief lapse of judgement, prompting her to belatedly crouch as well. It felt odd, this. She had never been in a spar quite like it before and thus had little idea on how to start. He previous battle endeavours were battle training with the practicing of moves and no actual opponent fighting back, and the full-scaled battle against RiverClan. Was she suppost to start this? Was there a certain protocol to this? Truly, she didn't know.

Re: Fight of the drowsy bird
rookfire felt sleepysunrise eye his shoulder and had to supress an eye roll, what did she expect? for his shoulder to just magically heal the second mossfreckle entered the room? it had been not even half a moon since hmpf. though, if the younger thought that meant she had to go easy on him, rook would definitely cut the fight short, he wasnt keen on wasting his time fighting a cat not only far younger but not trying properly. on the battle field, fighting a cat weaker was not as thrilling either but at least he got to grip and rip in that context, feel the muscles flex down his back at the strain of tearing flesh off bone. here, fighting someone stronger or more skilled was probably the only thing worth his time, but alas.
instead of waiting for sleepysunrise to finally make a move, rookfire darted forward aiming to hit his opponent on the side hard, still hesitant to use claws but happy to bruise. if he hit his strike, he would attempt to carry on the movement by ramming his good shoulder into her. if he missed, the younger enforcer would earn a prime opening to strike at his side before rookfire regained composure.
