the prey pile was disturbingly empty. which is what led them to approaching a random clanmate, simply due to the fact they could bring back more prey if they had a hunting buddy. dream..stream? dreamycloud? he's really unsure of the she-cat's name..but he knows for certain that it's something similar to one of the mentioned ones. he was fairly familiar with her, he was pretty sure she'd just recently become a warrior and that meant they'd been apprentices together.

they doubt they ever talked to her, though. they never bothered to make conversation with a lot of cats.

"the prey pile is looking sad. feel like going on a hunt?" the mottled feline refrains from a greeting - they're doubtful of their name remembering skills and would much rather prefer they didn't call the dilute calico the wrong name.

Dreamspirit blinked, giving the warrior that had approached her a warm smile. She was caught quite off-guard when she was asked to join them on a hunt. She glanced over to the fresh-kill pile, lightly frowning when it indeed was rather empty. Turning back to the cat, she smiled again.

"Hey, yeah, of course! I'd love to, dear," She purred. Might as well introduce herself. "I'm not sure if you know me, but I think I've seen and heard of you somewhere. Aren't you Dovepaw? Or have you gotten your warrior name by now? I'm Dreamspirit. And if you've heard of me, you'd probably know me as Dreampaw."

dear? dovesinge can't help but raise a brow at the nickname. they find it just a little odd, mostly for the fact that..well, it seems like such a parental thing to do. he shakes the thought away as the molly introduces herself. ah, dreamspirit. so, the other guesses were close - great. maybe his naming skills were getting better.

"it's dovesinge now." they clarify. they felt maybe just a bit too awkward to also clarify that they've been named dovesinge for about two moons now. "I don't think we ever talked when we shared a den." they add before turning and padding towards the camp exit, long tail giving a swish.

padding through the territory, the mottled warrior stays relatively quiet. it's easy to tell that they're much more invested in the scenery around them than conversing with dreamspirit. slowing to a stop, the inspect the surrounding territory, deciding that it would be a decent spot. a small clearing on the outer edges of firefly cove. considering the warmer weather, dove hopes prey should be pretty abundant here.

"meet back here?" dovesinge queries, blue-green gaze drifting to dreamspirit.

Dreamspirit blinked several times before giving the warrior a small smile.

"Ah, Dovesinge," Dreamspirit nodded. "You're right, we've hardly talked. But I'd love to talk more now that we have the opportunity to!" She spoke happily as she followed Dovesinge through the territory. Not wanting to awkwardly say anything, Dreamspirit also stayed silent, looking back at Dovesinge with a smile once they started speaking again.

"Of course." She answered.
