Emberkit wanted the best for their siblings, which included the clan. In order to keep the clan the best it could be, things had to be in order. A well-oiled clan raised well-oiled warriors. While Emberkit and their siblings didn't stay in the nursery, Emberkit had gathered through moons of careful watching that the nursery was a very important place in the clan. And Nightshiver was its guardian.

The molly had been easy to approach, and even easier to convince into helping Emberkit with her little project. Emberkit would have let Nightshiver take over the reigns, but the forever queen was even letting Emberkit make the announcement. The young molly decided she liked Nightshiver--the queen respected Emberkit's ability to do grown-up things.

With little assistance, Emberkit hauled herself up onto the lip of the apprentice den hollow, scanning the clearing with golden eyes identical to the Shadow Queen herself. "ShadowClan." Emberkit called, her young voice high-pitched and yet somehow full of authority. "Nursery needs new nests. Better insu-insulation." While the kitten's ears burned with the embarrassment of messing up a word in front of everyone, she kept her face carefully neutral--bored, even. "Help Miss Nightshiver and I, please. Kits can help too." Emberkit flashed her gaze towards where a few kits were undoubtedly gathering, roused by the commotion. "We need nest-makers and den-weavers. Nest-makers, meet me by the nursery. We take out old nests first." By the nursery sat a large pile of moss, collected for the event by a helpful warrior earlier. They'd use that to make new nests once the den was cleared out. "Den-weavers, see Miss Nightshiver for instruction. Please. Thank you." With that, Emberkit hopped from her perch and padded over to the nursery to begin clearing out the old nests.

How this works:
- Anyone who wants to join can!
- Anyone wishing to clear out the nursery and make new nests should meet up with Emberkit!
- Anyone wishing to focus on den repairs and insulating should go to Nightshiver [ @/Estelle ]
- Once Nightshiver and Emberkit give out basic instructions, everyone can just chat and work!
- Anyone making a mess or impeding others' ability to help out will be removed from the event
- Next post will be November 20/21st!

sigh. emberkit being wayyy too helpful, as per usual. snakekit approached his sister, tail flicking idly. ' i'll help clear nests, embie. ' he purred in his usual rasp, toothy grin widening.

Wisppaw wanted to do whatever task Shadowpaw was working on but right before he started to follow her shadow he remembered something that she said. 'You need to make more friends than me.' He didn't understand what she meant by that, she was his best friend but he huffed and waited to see who Shadowpaw went over to before going over to... [Nightshiver].

Shadowpaw walked over to [Emberkit] not knowing Wisppaw was even following her.

Oh. Emberkit was making herself busy. It seemed that Foxkit should, too. If his sister was going to be helpful, maybe cats would start to wonder why Foxkit wasn't. Being questioned like that had to be the most irritating thing, and preferably avoided. In any case, Snakekit and another cat had already arrived and gone up with his sister to help with the nests, and the question arose as to who he ought to join: his sister or "Miss. Nightshiver".

Foxkit supposed that the most straightforward and expected answer would be to join his siblings. Despite that, though, he guessed he'd do it. It would probably be quite "interesting"; his siblings could be a rather fascinating bunch.

"I guess I'll help with the nests, too," he said, with a clarity he'd been working on for some time. Of course, he couldn't do this as himself; that would certainly be boring. He put on his best confident grin and was ready.

willowpaw had been (peacefully) dozing of in the apprentices den, finally getting an ounce of sleep that wasn't filled with embarrassing moments playing on repeat. she was right in the middle of the climax (deep sleep) when a shrill voice carried down into her ears from somewhere outside the den. urrrrrrrrrrrrghhhhhhh. despite her absolute bestest efforts, she found herself blinking awake and very very very grumpy all the sudden. the apprentice sleepily lumbered out, searching disdainfully around for the source of the voice. oh. a kit? willowpaw managed to suppress most of her grumpiness at being woken up. well, may as well join it then... her mind responded very, very negatively to that. like i-would-rather-eat-maggots-for-the-next-25-years negatively. shaking it off, willowpaw sought out nightshiver. she'd helped (sloppily) build some of the walls when they first arrived at camp, and she figured dens would be virtually the same. the apprentice settled down, tail swishing heavily.

Wormpaw ♦ He / it ♦ Shadowclan apprentice ♦ 10+ moons

Wormpaw bounded over curiously, he'd been relaxing around camp while taking breaks between training. He just had one more training session then he'd finally get his assessment, THEN he'd finally have some freedom.

The smoky black tom listened to the kit's announcement, amused by her actions. When he was her age he'd always dreamed of doing the same thing, but never had the time between sneaking out and being caught. He calmly made his way over to the nursery, giving Emberkit a nod in greeting before he began to clear out the used nests in the den. He gathered a ball of used moss, carrying it out as carefully as possible to not make a bigger mess of the usually messy den. He carefully placed it outside, making sure it was far enough away from the clean bedding to tell the difference.

Coyotepaw ♠ He / They ♠ Shadowclan apprentice ♠ 11+ Moons

Coyotepaw was just returning to camp with Cherrywood from a hunting lesson when Emberkit made his announcement. The large Shadowclan apprentice listened to what she had to say, his gaze flicking to Worm heading towards Emberkit, so he himself decided he'd go see how to help insulate the dens.

He bowed his head in greeting as he approached Nightshiver, sitting nearby before neatly wrapping his tail around his paws as he waited for further instruction. Reinforcing dens shouldn't be too hard right? His gaze scanned the camp curiously as he watched the gathered cats disperse to their respective areas.

The heavyset tom approach Nightshiver with a friendly rumble. ”I’m here to help out, won’t be too good at the weaving but I’ll help with shifting any materials”, he gave her an earnest smile. He was never deft with his paws outside of battle, much more suited to the heavy lifting. But he was sure they’d need it.

The dens needed to be dense and withstand the elements, light materials wouldn’t be of much use.

As Dawnstar's kit called out to the cats of the Clan, Cougarkit's head popped up above the rim of her nest. Clean out? She could help! Squealing, the mottled she-kit scrambled out of her nest and hared over to Emberkit. ''Can I help? Pleeeeeeeaaaaaaase?''
