Take Flight [p]
"When will she be here?!"
"Patience."
"I'm just so excited!"
"Soon."
"Do you think she'll like me?!"
"Shush!"
ENOUGH.
The Bengal felt the zap in her head, physically wincing at the sound that echoed in her dark little mind. Her mouth shut tight at the warning her friend shot at her. Treepaw composed herself, inhaling sharply and half closing her eyes to contain her energy. She sat up tall, her tail wrapping tightly around her paws. She wasn't a young apprentice anymore. She was warrior sized and aged. She was ready to receive her name, but Spiderthroat hadn't done her assessment yet. As she sat beside Thrush, she seemed to tower over him now. Much different from when they were nearly the same size on their first meeting. "Apologies, I'll behave," her tone was solemn and meaningful as she spoke to both Thrush and her friend.
The shadowy calico feline was smaller than the average cat but deserved as much respect as the most seasoned warrior. So, he held himself proudly to display that power. He was choosing not to hide his darker intentions as he awaited Heronpaw's arrival. Thrush had taken interest in the ShadowClan apprentice. Her rage radiated all the way to the Dark Forest and he had to snatch her up. He needed to mold her into something significant to the clans.
"It's fine," Thrush would breathe outwardly in a darker tone. Internally he was thankful for whatever force shut Treepaw up. Sometimes her energy could be a little much, but it's what made her perfect and easy to hide within ThunderClan. No one suspected those murders were by her because of it. Thrush still didn't understand what was happening, but something dark was manifesting inside Treepaw. He was excited to see what would explode from her as she grew older.
After what felt like ages of waiting, an angry aura made itself present in the shadowy forest around them. Thrush was sensitive to this feeling and reacted first, his eyes shooting towards the direction it was strongest.
"Heronpaw, it's nice to finally meet you."
