Dawn Of Destruction
There was no warning. No time to prepare. As if from nowhere people started getting sick, with symptoms beyond what any doctors had seen. Changes in behaviour, cannibalistic tendencies and psychosis were just a few of the changes seen in people. All from one bite. Sirens started blaring all over the world, and just like that everything turned to chaos. Fighting broke out in every city and town there was, as people fought to obtain every last piece of food they could. The apocalypse had begun, and nobody had come prepared. As the cities became death traps, many fled to the countryside to find shelter from the onslaught of the undead. Many did not make it the first few weeks.
But that was over 3 years ago. Those who weren't prepared have long since perished, and those who have fought hard enough have survived this far. Some go about their days as loners, surviving on their own best they can. But others have chosen to band together, to create gated communities in order to keep the monsters out. One of these communities is known as "Blessed Angels", named after the very school they've chosen to call home; "Trinity School For Blessed Angels". The nearby wildlife offers a great array of hunting options, allowing the group to almost thrive here. Everyone plays a crucial role in the survival of everybody else. Run by a group of 5 individuals, the 'founders' of sorts, the community is well looked after. But the thought of winter is on everybody's mind; as the temperature drops, hunting parties are forced further out and away from chartered areas of the forest. Zombies, monsters, whatever you want to call them, are getting increasingly more common and are attacking more hunting groups. What will happen when food starts getting scarce? When walkers make it even harder to hunt? Everybody wants desperately to survive, it's a case of whether or not they're prepared to fight long enough to make it until spring. It's becoming survival of the fittest, how long will you last?

So yeah, that's the introduction! Your character's role in the camp is completely up to you; they can be a medic, a cook, a weapons expert - anything! The only limited roles are the community leaders, which can be no more than 5 characters (One taken by me~). So yeah! Please feel free to join! I will link the roleplaying thread once I've published this one! I will keep track of characters below. Thanks~

Name: Madilyn 'Maddie' Harding

Personality: Madilyn is a work-oriented person, praised for her organisation and level-headedness. She is constantly consumed with work, and can sometimes come off as brusk or harsh. Intelligent and practical, Maddie is good at deciding what's best for the group in the long run - her ability to weigh up two sides of an argument is difficult to match. When she's not working, though, Maddie is your (almost) typical 19 year old; amiable and even quite playful. She can become attached to people quite easily, a trait not best suited to an environment where death is such a likely possibility. She still struggles to move on from the past, weighed down by endless guilt she hopes to make up for through tireless working. A sweet girl, Maddie listens to people's problems well and is good at giving advice. She's not afraid to assert her role in the group, but she avoids yelling at all costs. Overall, Maddie is loyal and a good leader when she needs to be.
Appearance: |Reference| Maddie has soft, porceline skin covered in various marks she's accumulated over the years. Standing at an average 5'8, Maddie has a naturally small figure with little to no emphasis on her waist or hips. She's got a naturally skinny build, helped by her somewhat 'tall' height. Her brunette hair is thin and low-maintenance, often situated in a messy bun on the top of her head. Sky blue eyes stand out against her pale complexion, the only feature of her's left truly unmarked. Her outfits vary as she has quite a few of them, but generally consist of the same camouflage cargo pants and various jumpers of a similar print she stole from a hunting store a while back.
Background (Optional): Originally from England, Maddie was visiting the states back when the apocalypse started. Celebrating her 16th birthday with a few of her family and friends, Maddie's time in the states had started off quite cheerfully before things went downhill. Her mother and father were killed from the get-go, but she, her sister and two of their friends managed to survive together for a few weeks. But it didn't last, of course, when her sister was bitten and her friend made the choice to shoot her before she could turn. Furious, Maddie set off on her own before coming across another group of survivors. She bounced around between groups before finally meeting the group she would eventually found 'Blessed Angels' with.

Name: Raymond (Called 'Ray' by his friends') Louise
Age: 23

Role in group: Hunter but he's also skilled at building so he does repairs on the camp a lot as well.
Personality: Raymond is a playful and flirtatious person, with an almost gullibly amiable character. Witty and sharp-tongued, Ray always has something to say - even when he should really keep out of things. His strong character can sometimes be overbearing, especially for less sociable people than him. Sarcastic and sometimes a little snappy, Ray is not one to back down during a disagreement. Stubborn to a fault, he always wants the last word. But despite this, his sense of humour can be quite uplifting and certainly enjoyable to watch and listen to. Eager to make the camp feel as homely as possible, Ray acts almost like a big brother to everyone - even to those older than him. Loyal to those he trusts, Ray is quite an interesting person to befriend and get to know. He's always got stories to tell, and games to play - card games, ball games, you name it, he's got something for everybody. A playful and fun member of the community, Ray's enjoyable company is hard to pass.
Appearance: |Reference| Standing at a tall 6'2, Ray is quite a large person; naturally muscular, his appearance can almost make him seem daunting. With warm tan skin, Ray's quite attractive by most standards; he's got a sharp jawline, prominent lips and chocolate curls to top it all off. His attractiveness depends on who you ask, mind you, but he thinks he's quite the catch. Wardrobe consisting of mostly the same style of clothing, it's rare to see Ray in anything other than a tank top of sorts and some cargo pants. During the colder months he can be seen in a brown leather jacket.
Background (Optional): Raymond comes from a large family, with many aunties, uncles and cousins alike. He's always grown up having someone to talk to, an explanation for his overly-sociable character. Ray was off visiting friends when the apocalypse begun, leaving him separated from his family members; a position that remains the same to this day. Not many of his friends made it, but a few did. Eventually, about 2 years ago, he stumbled upon a hunting party in the thick forest he'd been wandering through for days, and they offered to bring him back with them. That's when he came across 'Blessed Angels', a place he could stay and call 'home'. He still clings onto the desperate hope that his family are still out there, and that one day they'd be reunited. He knew it was unlikely, but the thought of it was nice.

So you said people are trying to survive, do you mean there was a virus of some sort that turned them zombies, or to wolves?

@Blazepaw Into zombies, but the characters themselves can refer to them as monsters, walkers, the undead, whatever you'd prefer. But simply, they're zombies!

@Blazepaw I'm guessing you're referring to where I said "Lone wolves"? This is just an expression used to describe someone who prefers to stick to themselves and survive on their own, not as an actual wolf though! I apologise for the confusion~

It's quite alright!
