Hidden among a deciduous thicket is a beautiful garden, unknown to any who have never been there before. Many variations of flowers and herbs grow here, lush and otherworldly compared to the wild trees. Stone paths wend through the bursting flowers and pungent herbs. Adjacent to the garden is a greenhouse, which keeps certain plants alive throughout the winter. The garden is lush because Twolegs tend to it; there is a Twolegplace nearby, though it's difficult to find due to the sheer volume of trees. A loner named Lotus lives in this garden. How long she's been here, nobody knows. She seems to have an above average knowledge of herbs, though she's no master.

What will you find in this beautiful garden? Your best dream - or your worst nightmare? It all depends...

The sun hung high in the air, casting a golden pallor over the assortment of flowers and herbs. Usually, the garden burst with color, filled to the brim with rich greens and vibrant yellows, oranges, pinks, purples, blues, and reds. But that time of the year had come again. The green had become a rather sickly brown, the lush plants shriveling up as the chill sucked out their life force. The flowers had wilted, too, their petals turning crisp, their stems weighed by the burden of death they were forced to carry. Only a few autumn and winter flowers marched on. Sure, the surrounding trees burst with beautiful colors, but Lotus didn't like that. She wanted her garden to be the fairest of them all.

Of course, it wasn't her garden, not really. The Twolegs owned it. They gave it water and put stuff in the soil that smelled like dung. It probably was dung. But Lotus still felt like it was hers. After all, few others knew of this place, and she'd lived here alone for as long as she could remember. She liked her life here. It was calm. Peaceful. But it could get boring.

She slid out from the greenhouse, where she migrated when the weather grew cold. There was a hole that the Twolegs had repaired... mostly. For whatever reason, instead of sealing it, they'd put something over it. Lotus didn't know what it was, but she was able to slip in and out. She just needed to shut the flap behind her or the cold would kill off the plants inside. That was another thing she liked about the greenhouse - the beautiful, unusual plants it preserved.

Lotus gritted her teeth and fluffed out her soft coat against the chill that bombarded her. I wish autumn and winter didn't exist, she thought with an irritated flick of her long tail. Mismatched eyes gleaming with annoyance, she paced around the garden, scenting the air. She could go for a nice mouse right about now...

After some pacing and sniffing, she detected a delicious scent. Lotus swiped her tongue around her jaws and turned in its direction. There was a mouse nibbling on one of the plants. Animals love this place. It was both useful, as it meant she had a full belly - not that she had a big appetite - and an annoyance, for she didn't want the animals to take her favorite plants. Not that this mouse was taking away a favorite. Whatever it was eating was ugly and brown.

Lotus crouched low, but something crackled beneath one paw. She hissed in annoyance as the mouse looked up, met her mismatched gaze, and bolted. She didn't bother jumping after it; she couldn't catch it now if she tried. She took a deep breath to calm her temper. Oh, well. I'm sure something else will come up eventually. She sat down and began to groom her ruffled fur. Just because she lived alone didn't mean she didn't want to look her best! And just in case someone does come along... Lotus would really like to see another cat.

Dream dragged her legs along not knowing where to go now that she had been exiled from Windclan she had cried for a few days now eating very little and her eyes were red and she was skinny and cold she stoped as she heard a noise

A foreign scent crossed Lotus' nose, making her pause in her grooming. She looked up and tasted the air - then immediately recoiled. By the blooming flowers, that smells terrible! Like filth and hunger. But, underneath all that, there was a cat. One who wished to step into her sacred garden. A slow smile spread across Lotus' face. Finally. A visitor. Hopefully, they didn't look as repulsive as they smelled.

Lotus got her answer several moments later when a she-cat stumbled into view. Almost every rib showed beneath her matted pelt, and mucus dripped from her nose; either she'd caught a chill, or she was crying. Inwardly, Lotus was disgusted; however, she buried her distaste under a warm smile.

"Welcome to my garden!" she purred in a voice as sweet as honey. "I'm so glad to have a visitor." She widened her yellow-and-green eyes in exaggerated concern. "My, you look like you've been through a lot. Poor thing! I know just the thing to warm you up. Come on." With a flick of her tail and a brief glance over her slender shoulder to make sure the other she-cat was following, Lotus walked over to the greenhouse. The strange structure glowed in the sunlight.

"Under here," she meowed, nudging open the thing that hid the crack. "It's nice and warm inside. Oh, and might I ask what your name is?"

"My name is Dreamsky- I mean my name is Dream....." Dream says rubbing her eyes with her paws carefully
