the star of excellence is currently held by fawn, bear, velli, star, me and dino
moonraven and undertaker have twilight / dawn stars of excellence, respectively
given to those who dedicate a lot of time, love, effort and passion for the site. kind to others, go out of their way to be helpful, further the site in some way, etc. just the type of people we want to reflect our community.
sometimes given as a result of someone especially taking on a heavy workload -- star was carrying the absolute world on her shoulders during the 2018 secret santa, dino spent lotsa muscle revamping the discord server, etc. on top of being all of the above
