ETERNAL DARKNESS

In the shadow of the night,
cats slink and roam
A clan to be the stealthy and strong,
The best, the brave, quiet alone.
Dawn to look down upon,
Dawn to lead under iron, lifelong.

A cat to win, a cat to learn,
a cat with the scent of cloves.
A cat independent, a cat ambitious,
planning, carefully, in turn.
In the shadow of the night.

A cat to be still, silent,
a cat hidden, noticing.
A cat to be withdrawn.
Obedient.
In the shadow of the night.

A cat to be sulking, slinking,
hidden in the shade.
A cat to be ambitious,
observing, calculating.
A cat to be wanting, waiting,
for the moment to strike.
In the shadow of the night.

Dark trees, silent woods, mulch and decay.
Suffering.
A forest of eternal darkness.
They claw, they grasp. Drawn. Withdrawn.
The cat of shade they call to it.
Slithering into its head. Telling. Promising.
Blinded, confused, angry.
It draws into their grasp.

Family home, clan home.
Illusions.
It explodes.
The darkness seethes,
The darkness expands,
The darkness all around.

Clawing. Grasping.
It succumbs.

The forest explodes.
A whirl of claw and teeth and bone.
Blood burning.
Darkness clinging.
Lit up with flashes of fire.

Clan home, family home.
Illusions. No!
It claws away,
the darkness clinging,
escaping.
Clan home. Family home
Truth. Respite.

And yet the darkness clings,
after the storm.
It tries to shake away. It tries to believe.
It's family.
Clinging. Clinging.
It can't help.
It needs help.
But for the eternal darkness.

Sorry for the delay I wanted to write a poem ;;
btw I have zero experience in poems, so idk what kind it is or even if it is a proper poem. Lmk if you want it changed, its supposed to be the plot? kind of? Cuz the first stanza is supposed to be Shadowclan, and the other three after that are for Clovepool, Silentpaw, and Shadepaw, respectively, and the rest is Shadepaw and the Dark Forest?

I'm down to start a post somewhere in ShC camp for now if we want? Unless someone has an idea on how to start the plot (unless we want to wait until more people are added?) @Starphobia

Not sure yet. I haven't found a dark forest mentor yet, so it might be a while before that phase actually starts, which actually is pretty good since our characters can interact more and get to know each other more, especially since we skipped the kithood.

I will. Though, how should she react when Clove and Silent come by? She'll most likely be sitting at the edge of the clearing, in the shadows, watching everything and everyone, wrapped up in her thoughts simultaneously. (she does this a lot).

We have to figure out what their relationships are like.

I noticed that Shade and Silent are similar, they both are kind of quiet and not liking to socialize much. Though Shade has her ambitions. Shade also doesn't like really loud cats, or overenthusiastic cats.
