il ballo della vita
the dance of life
He had watched as WindClan continued on without him. Watched as Twilightstar rained vengeance down upon RiverClan with the aid of ShadowClan and ThunderClan. Watched as she let his murderer go free, and approved of the decision. And know he watches as she appoints Crowtooth as his replacement.
Fallownose is glad to see WindClan is fairing well in his absence. Twilightstar is surviving despite his loss, and the loss of Wolffang and Bravebird. He hasn't had the chance to speak to them, the shimmering planes of StarClan vast as the sky itself. Still, he knows they are here and hopes they are happy and finding peace.
Despite the way Twilightstar remains steadfast, Fallownose knows she is not at peace. He feels guilt over it, but shoves it to the side. He has come to terms with his own death, and it is time she does as well. If not for herself, then for WindClan.
His long moon cycles of practice has paid dividends. Fallownose reaches with his will, staring at the sleeping form of Twilightstar from the star-speckled puddle and dives. It takes a moment for him to fully integrate with her dream, but when he does he stares at her and smiles, the only sign of death being his slightly transparent for and the stars glimmering on his pelt.

Re: il ballo della vita
Tonight she dreams, she often hated it when she dreamt. Whether they be good or bad, waking up to reality always left her bittersweet. Either agonizing over all she's lost or longing for all she's lost. She liked the nights where there was nothing to remember, nothing to weep over, it was all just silent.
In the dream she was sitting in a field of green wheat, the stalks bent lazily in the wind and she marveled at the grains. Each one is distinct and though different from the others, still perfectly formed. She ran her paw along the edge to feel the combination of rough and smooth and then held her face upward to feel the warm light of the mid-summer day. The air smells just right and the birds fly in an almost cloudless sky.
But it's just her alone and slowly loneliness eats at her heart. It didn't last long. When she looks back down there's a cat beside her. A gray and white tom with golden eyes and a twinkle in his pelt. She blinks her eye a few times and a mirthful grin stretches across her maw.
"Fallownose!" She purred loudly enough to rival the roars of a monster on the thunderpath. It was funny in a heartbreaking way how much she took this cat for granted. She didn't know how much she'd missed him until he was gone. "I've missed you." She leaned in to nuzzle the tom.
