~ Lioncrest ~

A few sunrises following the conclusion of Bumblestar's most recent meeting, Lioncrest padded towards the apprentice den and poked his head in to summon his most recent charge.

"Beachpaw. Let us continue your training. Come meet me at the camp entrance," he stated, amber eyes flicking over the interior of the den to see which young cat popped up first at his call. He had yet to meet this apprentice, so he could only hope that they were ready and willing to put in some work.

Expecting Beachpaw to follow, the golden tom turned and started padding towards the camp entrance with a purpose. He could evaluate them once they appeared; he needed to see what training they had already acquired before starting his own regimented plan.

Beachpaw -

"...mm?"

In their sleepy state, they heard a mysterious voice from the entrance of the apprentices' den summon them. It sounded like destiny calling in a literal way, a conclusion arrived at with the help of a half-conscious mind. They were on their feet after a yawn and stretch, wandering toward the camp entrance in search of whoever had interrupted their rest with the promise of training.

If someone had called for them. They were pretty sure somebody had, but ... it could have been a dream, or someone in their dream. Whatever divine force had asked for them, Beachpaw was at the meeting spot.

Maybe it was one of those prophecies from the stories they'd heard about. They were down for being a Chosen One.

"Hello StarClan, it's me, Beachpaw. I'm here for the training."

~ Lioncrest ~

The sight of a cream-coloured apprentice meandering their way towards his assigned meeting spot with an... odd address to Starclan gave the golden tom pause as he attempted to make sense of what they were saying. What in the stars were they going on about? They must have still been half asleep; that could be the only possible explanation for this... strange introduction.

"Starclan has not taken me yet young one, and let's hope that fate remains delayed for many more moons," he huffed, giving the younger cat a quick once over with an evaluating gaze. They had some meat on their bones outside of kitten fluff... Perhaps this additional apprentice had already properly begun their training. "I am Lioncrest, your new mentor. And I assume you are Beachpaw?"

He barely allowed enough time for the younger cat time to respond before flicking his tail out towards the camp entrance and padding out towards the territory.

"Come. Tell me of the training your previous mentors imparted, and I will do my part to fill in anything you lack."
