now that the food was more or less organised jayfrosts attention diverted to the apprentices, he personally didnt really care how fast or slow apprentices actually got done with training, but now that the threat of potentially any clan attacking at any moment, stars they had messed up a lot in the past and not only dusklion was at fault here, was closing in, he wanted to at least give them the chance to defend themselves. "branchpaw. im almost certain you still have a lot of training open and im sure its in everyone interest that you catch up a bit. im going to take you swimming, refresh your skills, and then we can go over water hunting next time."
without giving the apprentice much of a chance to complain he turned to exit camp, trusting the apprentice to follow along on their own.

He was near the sides of the camp clearing, looking down at his paws. There, unsheathed, were sharp claws, potentially ready for the killing. However, he was uncertain. Despite his stoic look outside, whereas some were afraid of him becoming an accessory to violence, he's indeed one that would be cautious in harming another. Would he feel reluctant to kill? Certainly. Harm? If it's for RiverClan, probably not. But...
His head snapped up. There was another warrior, Jayfrost. To be honest, he wasn't able to keep track of how much training he had. It's been for about one or two moon since his apprenticeship, perhaps. He knew he had been training as much as he find time or warrior to do so. But extra ones always work. Standing up as he was about to reply, the warrior was already walking away, and he paused for a second, before he caught up quickly. That sounds like an ideal plan.

@Blazing
the apprentice didnt speak, he didnt mind, the less talking branchpaw did the less jayfrost ultimately had to do himself. with a short glance behind him and a stocking step, his leg had locked awkwardly, he continued to lead the young tom towards haven springs. "we're going to haven springs, will go down into the territory when im sure ya wont drown" he called over his shoulder, voice raised enough that the apprentice would hear. jayfrost didnt like to think about the fact that he had been called softspoken more than once in his life, he could be louder if he wanted, but every time he actually had to speak up considerably he couldnt help but think back the snarky remarks. he much preferred speaking quick and quiet enough that between that and his accent, the sentence came out like one word.
whatever, with the twoleg bridge crossed jayfrost could pretty much taste the humid air already, and it wasnt long until the sparse trees came into view. "the water isn' deep but if ya need help i can pull you out anyway" he mewed, coming to a stop in front of the springs.
a quick stretch, mostly to test if his leg would be acting up again, "'ts hard to explain, mostly just cup your paws and paddle, 't'll get better with practice" he explained before entering the warmth of the springs. it had been a while since he had taken the time to swim, some time in leaf fall probably, but he was born and raised in riverclan and had always taken a liking to water so it wasnt long until he returned to his prime agility and grace. done with the instruction he ducked under the water briefly before lifting himself out of the water again, short fur stuck to his skin his scars and slim build stood out more than he'd like.
