Sunpaw paid no mind to the outside world from the medicine cat's den as she lay in a curled-up ball in the nest. A few shivers ran through her body as she tried to rest the icky feeling not going away like she wanted it to. Eating those herbs might have helped with the feeling of being hot and cold at the same time but it didn't abate the other symptoms she had. For what felt like the hundredth time she wiped her nose of the bloody mucus that started to dribble again. Right at the same time, a coughing attack hit her leaving her heaving for air after a bit. The ginger apprentice let out a whine as she resituated herself again to try again to get comfortable, for however long that would be. Sunpaw wanted to cuddle with someone warm but she hadn't seen any of her siblings in the den yet and she didn't think Hollowpaw and Wolfpaw would be too happy to see her spreading around whatever this was. Though Hollowpaw had seemed it was whitecough so surely that was all it was right? Yeah it's just that, once Hollow and wolf had that plant thing she would get better in no time, why was she doubting everything?

~ Lioncrest ~

Apparently, the golden warrior had been even more out of sorts than he had originally realized. It seemed that Brindlepaw was not the only one of his offspring to have caught whatever nasty sickness was circulating camp, and one of his daughters had officially been confined to the medicine cat's den because of her level of illness. So, in order to somewhat rectify his self-isolation following the disappearance of his mate, Lioncrest was on his way to the healer's den with a nice plump apology mouse in his jaws.

Ducking into the den, amber eyes blinked to adjust to the dimness before spotting a familiar pelt curled up and coughing in a private nest. The pity for his kin and the frustration at her lack of care that flooded into his chest was an unwelcome experience, and he tried his best to shove those feelings aside as he padded over with a rumble of greeting and placed the mouse in front of her nest.

"You must keep up your strength Sunpaw," he rumbled, nudging his nose to the top of her head and frowning slightly at the amount of heat radiating off her fur. "How are you faring?"

While he awaited her response, the large tom stepped over her curled up form into the nest and settled into a solid loaf at her back. Long rasps of his tongue worked her pelt back into a more tidy shape and his feathery tail draped around her to offer a touch more comfort.
