"Sugar! Want to come hunting?" Sunshine called out for his sister, hoping she'd come. She- No, he had... something important to tell her. What if she hates he-him for it?
Panic washed over him and he had to take some deep breaths.
It's going to be fine. Your sister will love you no matter what, that's what family does!

Sugar rose out of her straw filled nest, she let out a big yawn and stretched her body until her claws were unsheathing on their own. She hopped up onto her paws and followed where the sound of her sister, Sunshine, was coming from. "Comin' Sun!" She meowed back before apearing outside the barn.
She drank in the sun, closing her eyes before glancing back at her sister. The cat was shining in the sun, her golden fur almost blinding her. She let out a small chuckle. "Sunshine in the sun, how funny is that?" she joked to herself
Remembering what she was asked she gave the she-cat a nod. "Sure thin' ! I could use some mice in my belly on this beaautiful day." She purred, rubbing her shoulder with Sunshine's. The two were very close, they practically raised each other.

Waves of panic washed over him, and he had to take deep breaths to relax. He knew it'd all be fine, but he wasn't sure of it. There were bigger mice to catch, both metaphorically and literally.
He smiled at his sister. When would he tell her?

Brown Sugar purred and licked her ear. As she looked at Sun she couldn't help but see the flash of panic in her eyes. She was about to ask her about it until Sunshine gave her a smile. "I must be imagining it, nothin's scary in hunting! Except rats that is." she told herself, her fur shuddering at the thought.
She scanned the farm land for a place to go hunting. She noticed a wheat field beyond some fences and a forst in a different direction. "Well then we can go that a way, " she meowed, flicking her large tail toward the wheat, " Or into the forest. " Sugar glanced warmly at Sun. "Your choice!"

He watched as his sister shuddered. Probably his fault, maybe she saw how stressed he was and shared the feeling.
Wheat or forest.
For a fact, he could tell the mice would like to hide in the tall wheat fields. Twolegs loved to use their big monsters to run through them.
Plus, their fur would hide them well, especially his. His golden fur almost matched the colour of the long strands.
The forest however? Not as great.
"Let's go into the wheat fields."
He gulped.
He was pretty overwhelmed with all the ideas and reactions she could have. What if Sugar thought he was crazy? Mad?
Stop overthinking. Relax.

"Alright!" She meowed, brushing her tail along her sisters side. She bounded toward the wheat field and let the stalks of wheat brush her pelt. She glanced around and opened her maw to taste the air. Browny caught the sent of a mouse and she dropped down into a crouch. Her hunting stance used to be very wobbly but eventually she perfected it on her open.
She slowly creeped forward, being careful not to brush the stalks of wheat too much. She leapt forward and stomped on the mouse with her unsheated forepaws. Sugar swiftly bent down and bit the mouse's neck while it was dazed. She looked back at Sunshine with the mouse in her mouth. Her eyes did the smiling for her.

She dropped her prey and buried it so she could flash a tongue at her sister. Sugar might not be young but she had spirit. She rose on her hind-legs and batted Sunshine with sheathed paws. She let out a laugh and raced into the wheat. She cackled as her paws thumped in front of her.

When the loner didn't hear her sister pelting after her, she turned back. her heart clenched at the sight of her sister's troubled expression. Sugar peered into Sun's eyes, searching for any hint of what was troubling her. Was that fear she saw flickering in Sun's gaze once more? The thought sent a shiver down her spine. Could it be possible that her sister was hiding something so distressing that it evoked fear in her own eyes? "What's wrong?
As Sun hesitated, Sugar's mind raced with a whirlwind of possibilities. Something important must be weighing on Sun's heart for her to appear so hesitant and anxious.
She widened her eyes. Something to tell her? It's got to be bad right? There's no reason Sunshine would be afraid of telling her something good. "Somethin' to tell me?" she echoed.
"What is it Sun?" Sugar's voice was gentle but insistent, her eyes pleading for Sun to open up to her. The bond between the sisters was strong, built on trust and unwavering support. Whatever it was that Sun needed to share, Sugar was ready to listen, to comfort, and to stand by her sister's side no matter what.
