Fierceroar was pacing around the clearing, her golden eyes filled with nervousness. She was contemplating if she should do it, give out the call for an event she had in mind. She let out a nervous sigh and padded towards a stone that would let her see over the top of everyone's head but not as high as the Streamstone. She opened her maw to let out a call but then she closed it. Just do it! She yelled at herself in her mind. She closed her eyes, taking in deep breaths. She must look ridiculous to anyone who layed eyes on her. She opened her eyes, fresh determination visible. She stood up to her full height and opened her jaws, this time determined to give out the actual call. "Anyone who wants to have some fun and have a swimming race before it gets too cold gather around the clearing so I can explain the rules!" She yowled out, her voice faltering a bit as she started but then growing stronger as she went on. She waited for those who wanted to participate to gather around her.

(How this will work is there will be obstacles in the water that the cats will need to avoid. You need to post once for every obstacle. I will roll a die. If you get 10-20, you get a point. If you get 1-9 (10>n), you don't get a point. If your post has more than 100 words (100<w), you get two rolls and the highest number of the two rolls is your number. This is open for apprentices and warriors. I will be reading all the posts so no need to quote or mention me.)

It was such a pleasure to see the Shields taking innitiative around camp, once again reminding Kestrelstar that he had made the right selections when it came to the new ranks. Yellow eyes looked over to where Fierceroar stood, calling for those to gather around for - was that swimming? The leader couldn't help a kit-like grin that spread across his face. It was a well known fact that his favorite activity was swimming, regardless of the temperature, and much to the medicine cats' dismay. Kestrelstar couldn't remember a single leaf-bare where he hadn't visited the medicine den due to sickness derived from a leaf-bare swim.

"A swimming race, you say?" Challenge gleamed in the depths of yellow eyes as Kestrelstar padded over to stand before Fierceroar, head swiveling to see who else of RiverClan would show.

Featherpaw was ready to swim she was extremely excited to get to show off her swimming skills to the rest of the clan.

Lotusheart wanted to participate. She was big and floofy and very strong so she assumed the cold would not be a bother. Her eyesight was limited but that likely wasn't a problem. She hadn't engaged in any clan events in a while. And she quire missed the clan. Things changed.

Amberpaw raced forwards, excited. She was good at swimming! Heck, she was great at swimming. She could do this no problem. Maybe she wouldn't win, she probably wouldn't. But it was an event she could do and she would probably be good at it, and that was what mattered to her.

Bearspot's small ears perked up at this announcement. A swimming race? How delightful! He leaped out of the warrior's den and sat down next to a young apprentice.

Flypaw immediately raced over when she heard the announcement. A swimming race? It sounded extremely fun! She sat down quietly to hear the instructions.

Ears perked, the tom trotted over to the clearing. This actually sounded kinda of fun! I mean it was something to do other than roaming around aimlessly thru camp. His emerald green eyes danced across the clearing, vaguely wondering who the competition was so far. Well none were to intimidating- all except Kestrel'Star! This would be interesting... He was, after all leader, most probably meaning he excelled at swimming more than the average cat. But Silent'stalk was no 'average cat', and he was more than determined to test his aptitude against his leader. Claws sinking into the dank mud, the fluffy silver tabby gave a resolute glance to those around him. No one would (hopefully) stand a chance!

Skysplash stretched her jaws wide open in a bored yawn. The last few days had been quite uneventful, and she felt like having some fun. The blue-gray and white cat pricked her ears when she heard Fierceroar, the younger warrior's, voice. Skysplash padded over to the she-cat, sitting down with her tail wrapped around her paws. She listened to the cat's planned event, and waited a bit longer after the brown cat had spoken. Swimming sounded like something to do to pass the time. She had an apprentice, and was passing on her knowledge of the best ways to speed through rivers and lakes. Skysplash was definitely up for this event.
