RiverClan Rank Requirements
Kit to Apprentice - Kits must have existed for one month real time to qualify for a ceremony
- You should have at least ten roleplay posts made with that kit
- A trip to the elders den to hear a story is recommended but NOT REQUIRED.
- The character should not have recently been punished by a high rank, or have been caught in roleplay doing something that violates the Warrior Code or Roleplay Guidelines (that is punishable by a high rank.)
Apprentice to Warrior - Apprentices must have existed for two months real time to qualify for a ceremony. They will also need to be at least 12 moons of age unless Kestrelstar deems them worthy of warrior status earlier than that.
- You should have at least 100 roleplay posts made with that apprentice.
- The Apprentice will need at least five instances of training with the presence of a warrior to qualify - these do not have to be with their assigned mentor.
Required Experiences:- One water and land hunting lesson
- One battle lesson
- One swimming lesson
- One Patrol Assignment
Recommended Experiences:- Patrols (hunting, border, battle, herb)
- Battle Experience (raids, border skirmishes)
- Plot participation
- Any life experience that is adequate!
All instances of training must have link backs when submitted in the ceremony request form. This is to prevent characters from becoming warriors without having any actual form of training! You are responsible for organizing your own training sessions, but you may be placed on a patrol at Kestrelstar or his deputy's discretion.
- Apprentices need to actively attend at least one Gathering with a minimum of three posts socializing and interacting with others.
- Apprentices need to actively attend their ceremony. This includes showing up through roleplay and, if applicable, reacting to the ceremony accordingly. For example, if a cat becomes a warrior in the meeting, the apprentice should join in with chanting the new warrior's name.
- The character should not have recently been punished by a high rank, or have been caught in roleplay doing something that violates the Warrior Code or Roleplay Guidelines (that is punishable by a high rank.)
- If your character has not met these qualifications by the age of 24 moons, Kestrelstar will be re-evaluating their place among RiverClan.
- KESTRELSTAR WILL BE DOING ALL FINAL ASSESSMENTS. MENTORS ARE ENCOURAGED
TO JOIN BUT NOT REQUIRED.
Warrior to Elder - You will need at least 250 posts with the character as a warrior
- If they are seventy moons or older, they will qualify to become an elder due to old age and may make a request to be moved in with the elders. If they do not make such a request, they will remain a warrior
- Prior to being seventy, they will need a valid reason to retire, such as a health condition. This condition will need to be verified by the medicine cat, and Kestrelstar will consider. If they believe your character is fit to remain a warrior or too unfit for Clan life, Kestrelstar will act accordingly.
Other to Elder - Outsiders may join as an elder, but only under the condition that they serve the clan as a warrior for a period of time [6 moons+] before gaining the rank of elder.
- Young clan cats born or injured to the point of being unable to serve the clan will be given a chance at rehabilitation but if they are not able to adapt, they may be exiled or killed. They will only be moved to the elders den at Kestrelstar's discretion.
Outsider Joining - Outsiders allowed to join will be required to undergo an evaluation to determine their current level of knowledge. Depending on how they fare, they may start off as an apprentice or a warrior. They will be required to take on a clan name - Kestrelstar will have the final decision on any names, and most outsider names will not be kept.
- If the event an outsider is actively pregnant or with an expecting mate, Kestrelstar will not force them to start as apprentices, even if they fail the evaluation. Instead, they will be allowed to join as a warrior or queen but are still expected to complete five training instances. Failure to do so may result in them being stripped of their Clan status.
- If your character is an apprentice from another Clan, Kestrelstar will assess them to determine exactly what they know and what skills are still needed.
- Warriors joining from other Clans will be tested by Kestrelstar himself, and he will determine after if they are approved to join. If they are approved, and display any disloyalty, they will be removed from the Clan immediately.
High Ranks - Kestrelstar currently has Splashleap as his deputy and does not see fit to replacing her.
- To be considered for a high rank, read the High Rank Selection Process & Procedures.
