"Alright, everyone! It's time to head out! If you haven't found a partner yet, stick close to a warrior and keep an eye out for anyone else who seems to be on their own. Everyone needs to stay together as a group and make sure nobody wanders off or gets lost!"
"Bumblebelly and Cobaltshade, I want one of you on each side of the group - doesn't matter who goes where. Creekrunner, Mossypaw, and Salmonsong - I want you three coming up the rear. All of you should keep a keen eye on everyone to make sure everyone is staying together and staying safe! If any of the kits start looking tired, you're more than welcome to carry them - we don't want them getting tuckered out before we even get to the pond."
"Let's go!"

[ Cattail Pond ]
Sootflare hobbled along, leading the group of kits and apprentices out towards Cattail Pond and occasionally glancing back to ensure there weren't any issues. He took the walk at a slower pace - more for himself than the kits but the younger ones were the perfect excuse for it. The sun was high in the sky by the time they reached the pond and the deputy navigated around the pond until they reached a spot less populated with reeds and grass so they could swim unobstructed.
"Alright everyone, gather round!"
"What's going to happen is I'm going to break you up into groups..." he meowed, trailing off as he began count up everyone who had come along, "Two groups of kits and three groups of apprentices?" he mumbled, mostly to himself.
"Every group will be paired with a warrior who should begin with a swimming demonstration and then allow everyone to try for themselves."
Asterpaw bounces over to his kithood friends. “Harepaw! How are you? How’s your apprentice training been?” He smiled at his old friend. They hadn’t spoken in a while, but he hoped they could still be friends.
“Honey paw, how about you?” He asked, looking at the shy she-cat.

Duskkit ran over to the warrior, Sootflare, as soon as he called. He looked around at the territory, in awe of it. He had been in the territory before, but this part was new to him. He looked around at some other kits, wondering who would be in his group. He shook his short, smooth white pelt with brown tabby splotches, hoping the water wasn't cold. He sat down, his pale yellow eyes looking intently at Soonflare.

Please give me a bump if I don’t respond winthin 72 hours! Thanks!
Bumblebelly sat besides Sootflare as he watched the large group of young cats forming. He glanced to the pond, pondering quietly about how different it looked in the day light... His heart ached for Swanfeathers company but at least he was a stronger swimmer now. He purred faintly as he waited for instructions.
----
Tinypaw fidgeted as he looked into the water. Today's the day! Oh Starclan... today IS the day! He gulped anxiously as his small tail gave another quiver anxiously. Maybe he wouldn't fall face first into a loner today.

Creekrunner has enjoyed the leisurely walk to the pond. Usually, the tom moved quickly- he jogged if not out right ran pretty much everywhere. Thus, it was nice to change up the pace a bit and stroll through the territory behind the little ducklings and check out the nice weather while keeping everyone together. A warrior was never to old to observe their territory! When they made it to the pond, Creekrunner stopped a few pawsteps away so that he had a wider view of the gathered cats but could still hear Sootflare. He watched each clump of kits and apprentices to make sure none of them wandered off or fell in and offered a nod to Sootflare when the deputy mentioned that the warriors must demonstrate swimming to their groups and head into teaching.

Smokekit sighed, walking to Bumblebelly. "Mr. Bee, may I ride as a participant of this enticing ride of hydro near-death on your back?" She stated this calmly, padding by his side.
Cobaltshade nodded her head at Sootflare's command, looking to Bumblebelly for a moment before deciding to take the right side of the group as they began to head out of camp. If anyone was out of line, she'd put them back in line. If anyone was tired, she'd carry them. Her eyes watched the bunch carefully as they walked to the Cattail Pond.
When they reached the pond, the blue-gray warrior sat down to let the deputy explain how this was going to work, tail wrapping around her paws. This was a good place to teach young cats how to swim, she'd have to bring Finchpaw here to do swimming lessons.
Lotuspaw looked up excitedly. She would finally learn how to be a RiverClan cat. She'd always enjoyed the rain and swimming couldn't be that different, right? She was twice the size of most apprentices. Would it help her or would she sink?
