What had happened?

Blood filled Bitterpaw's vision. The last thing he saw was a gray pelt flashing his vision. He chuckled. So this was how the great Bitterpaw died? Murdered on his own land. It was funny. He had left RiverClan to find and kill the asshole that took his mentor from him.

Seems all those bad deeds had caught up to him.

If he was honest with himself, it was stupid. Stupid that death decided to come for him. He should have fought, but he couldn't. He didn't know how. In his mind, this was all that asshole's fault. He should have become the brave and mighty Bitterstar, but that was now just a dream. He couldn't go back, no matter how hard he tried.

Bitterpaw knew where he was going. He didn't want to prance around the happy place of StarClan, hell no. He wasn't going to spend eternity in a happy-go-lucky place where all he could do is lay around all day. While the thought of endless sleep intrigued him, he wasn't going there.

The place of no stars.
The Dark Forest.

That is where he was headed. And StarClan knew it. He wasn't mad, no. He was glad. He was going to embrace what should have been, a brave and strong warrior.

The 15 moon old apprentice never was afraid of death. Today was no exception. What was he going to do? Stare death right in the face. Despite his young age, Bitterpaw was as his name suggested - Bitter. Bitter at life. Bitter at death.

Blood oozed out of his stomach and throat, and filled his vision. And all he could do was laugh. "Y-You Coward. Couldn't face me. Meet me inn hellll," he said, voice strained. The scarred maroon tom closed his eyes. "Do your worst, StarClan. I'll see you in hell."

His ragged breathing slowed before coming to a halt. The apprentice, at 15 moons, was heading to where he always knew he was ending up. The dark forest. And he was proud. The toms spirit only had one thing to say.

"What took so long?"
