The small apprentice sat in the Shadowclan cleaning, shying away from the sun like it was an unspoken disease. She hated how the other half of her pelt was still visible even in shadow. Why wouldn't she be completely black? The blonde in her fur was a dead giveaway of her presence, and she hated that.
So much for being sneaky, so much for being mysterious and all knowing.
What the tail was she doing? The sun was still out, wasn't it? Why not go and prove herself to the clan?
She did that every single day, and yet she never got tired of it. She almost exited camp completely before realizing she couldn't go out on her own. Most times Magpiepaw would gladly bend the rules to benefit her clan, but she wasn't an idiot. If she went out there now, it was a guarantee that someone... Or something... Would find her. The harsh lighting DEFINITELY didn't help.
Stupid, stupid, STUPID SUN! GAH! She hoped that cursed thing would explode one day! What gives? Can't she be sneaky for ONCE?
Magpiepaw fluffed up angrily, her claws unsheathed as her small toe beans spread apart dramatically.
Now she'll have to talk to a warrior. Not that she didn't like them, it's just that they'll probably bring back more prey than her, and then she'll be super duper frustrated. She was just as good as a hunter as any warrior! How come they still got all the recognition?
Her brown mysterious eyes looked intently around the clearing, hoping to find an okay candidate to lead her through camp but also not test her ever thinning patience.

Magpiepaw smiled at the warriors retort. Finally! Someone who actually understood her! Then again, it was kinda freaky how she shared the same thoughts as hers even if she hadn't verbally expressed them. A mind reader? No fair! Why can't she have that power? It was either that, or Magpiepaw was extremely expressive.
"Afternoon, Bearskull." She greeted, knowing that she'd get farther in this conversation if she was a bit more polite. "Sure, sure, sure, sure! I'd be very uh..." Her mind trailed off as she searched for a very long sophisticated word to prove her maturity. Overjoyed maybe? Was that good?
"Overjoyed to have you join me. Isn't that so cool? It's like Starclan is telling me-- uh, US that we should definitely hunt for some very big impressive things. Don't cha think?"

Her Stubby Legs Forced Her Into A High-Sleed Gallop, But She Soon Dropped Down And Sniffed A Large Hole In A Rabbit Burrrow. Yep... Theres One On The Prowl. She Mewed.

Magpiepaw, mouse-lengths behind Bearskull as she galloped, ran into her flank as the warrior stopped abruptly. The apprentice yowled with her face full of fur. It should be illegal for a Shadowclan warrior to have THIS MUCH FLUFF!
She sneezed, covering a blonde paw over her muzzle. She rubbed away the stray pieces of fur and she sniffed. She wasn't quite sure what rabbit smelt like, but she wasn't about to let Bearskull in on the secret.
The stubby apprentice nodded all knowingly. "I smell it. I bet you it's as big as those fish scented Riverclan cats. They're so scrawny, I wonder how the birds down lift them up in the trees."
She crouched down beside Bearskull, curiosity lining her brown eyes. She wondered how they were going to get ahold of this thing.

The small cat glaced at the drops of scarlet, her nose wrinkling. "Hopefully not too injured. Ain't NO WAY I'm eating something that's HALF DEAD."
Prey that had already been killed and was left to sit out often rotted. Magpiepaw knew such awesome knowledge because of a deer carcass that rotted near here some moons ago. She couldn't remember the exact details, but she vividly remembered the scent, strong and unpleasant.
She shattered. Who knew how bad this rabbit would smell if it was rotted enough?
