Time had moved on, new kittens came and went from the nursery as the seasons changed. Nightshiver blinked slowly, her presence in the den's mouth casting a shadow over the nursery floor; a familiar one, one that often stood within the same vicinity.

She gone out, that day, earlier in the morning - a rare occurrence as of the past few moons, save from the occasional out-of-den duty. Her purpose had been to rally both Hawkbite [ @SuspiciousMindz ] and Midnightpath [ @Omari ], giving them the option to join her this day as she finally got around to making certain introductions. First of all, the Starrysmoke trio meeting her newest adoptee - and secondly, should they find the time, introducing two of her dearest friends to them.

Quietly the forever queen stepped closer to the first three she took under her care, her expression and tone gentle as she rose them from sleep or occupation, a tender smile on her face.
"Snarling..kit, Tigerkit... Berrykit. C-can you come... here, loves?"
She blinked, slowly.
"I'm... s-sorry... I haven't been... around much.. lately. It has.. has been... different, for me too...; My duty... is often spread be-between... all the kits... of the nursery. But... I promise, to be more..more present in... your in..individual lives from... here on.. out... Alright?"

She paused, not expecting those to be the first words to leave her maw and yet they weigh heavy on her heart.
"I.. love you.. three... so much. You can... always find me, I... I will... always be... here."
She whispered to the three, leaning down to gently bump her nose against each of them in a gentle sign of affection, before gently gesturing them to follow.
"And loves.., There is... there is also... somecats I'd like... you three t-to meet."

When he had heard his own name called and those of his siblings he tensed up but followed. At least he could get out of the dark corner of his den huh? He followed, looking for his older and younger sister. So many sisters. He found it annoying but…he supposed they were fun sometimes.

He plopped down in front of NightShiver and looked up the she that was caring for them, almost having to feel a pang of sympathy for the over-worked cat. “Alright…” he looked down to his small paws then back to the she-cat when she nudged each of them. Something about him tried to pull away but rather than that, he leaned into the sign of affection. It felt nice to be cared for by a mother-like figure. He missed his own, whom he never actually got to know.

He was at peace for a moment but his nose wrinkled up as she said he had to meet new cats. Oh goodness, what would this be about? Whatever it was, he didn’t think he’d enjoy it much.
