BlueberryFrost was still grieving. "How could he walk out like that?" She mumbled. Her previous mate, the cat she had known since she was a kit left camp and never returned. It was hard on her. She hadn't groomed herself in a few days, and she hadn't even gone out of her den. The warrior finally decided she should get outside. The cat stood up and trudged out of camp. She sniffed the air. Her nose couldn't smell anyone. "I should be fine." She said right before she came face to face with another cat. @otter

Foggymask sighed. Raspberryswirl had been there one day, and gone the next. He was just out patrolling the RiverClan border when he accidentally ran into a cat. He pinned back his ears, claws out, when he stopped and realized how beautiful this she-cat was. "What are you doing here?" he said flatly.

"I-i just needed a walk." BlueberryFrost stammered. "I-I haven't been out in days after.... after he left." She whispered. Not this. It came up in every conversation. It hurt talking about him. "May I ask what you're doing here?" The warrior asked. This cat was shadowclan. What business would they have here? @otter

His ear twitched at the mention of this cat's mate. But then she mentioned that her mate left her. It felt like he was being stabbed through the heart. "My... My best friend did that too. She just disappeared one day. And I kinda think I was in love with her..." Foggymask said, voice trailing off.

"O-oh. I'm sorry." BlueberryFrost mewed. The other cat was also grieving. "That's how my relationship happened. We were inseparable ever since we were kits. Then, we became mates a-and then he just left." She explained. It sounded like they were going through the same thing. @otter

Foggymask nodded. "Same thing. After my mother died, I was lonely and had no friends. And then she came and changed my life. We'd been inseparable. And then she just... disappeared." said the lynx point sadly. He looked down at his paws, a small tear rolling down his cheek.

"Yeah. My ma is out of the picture. My dad Miresong is all I have now." BlueberryFrost noticed a tear fall down his cheeks. She knew she had just met him, but she can't handle seeing cats cry. "I'm sorry." She said. "Don't cry." She added. She got closer and put her muzzle to the tear. @otter

"Foggymask." A sharp voice snapped through the stillness of the border. The ShadowClan Deputy lumbered out of the undergrowth, a veritable panther in her size and grace. Her single eye glinted with icy fury at seeing an incredibly incriminating scene.

Mistlewhisker had come here as an escort for Rookfire, who had wanted some herbs that grew better in watery conditions. The lockdown was in place, and while both of them were high ranks and technically could ignore the restriction, neither of them were stupid enough to do it. It was there for a reason. A reason that must have escaped Foggymask, it seemed.

The RiverClanner was practically touching him, basically on their side of the border. The Deputy set her gaze on her, a promise of death if she didn't back the hell up right then and there. "Do you want me to kill you now to save you the embarrassment, or would you rather Stormstar demote or even exile you the moment she hears of this?" Her voice was deadpan, large ears pinned back and stare intense, all indicators of the severity of the situation. Stormstar seemed like a no-nonsense Leader when it came to her clan breaking rules. That was something Mistlewhisker could appreciate about the young Leader, and she certainly hoped the molly wouldn't let her down in that aspect.

Her one-eyed gaze slid to Foggymask. "I would extend the offer to you, but I think Dawnstar and Hawkbite would like to hear of this from you." She knew his possible promotion to Enforcer was on thin ice due to the behavior he had displayed during the fight, but Mistlewhisker had been hoping the white tom would prove everyone wrong. It seemed not.
