The Depressed Singer and the Painter

Everest Potte, had lost her boyfriend, Holt to an accident. Now she sang even less. The time seemed endless as she walked down the street. "If only you had made it, Holt...why did you have to do this to me?.." she wasn't paying attention when she bumped into someone.

Mathew had just left art school and was now walking home when a person bumped into him. Of course he wasn't going to be rude. "Uh sorry.", he said with a smile and a nervous laugh. He would take the lame if needed to, since he wasn't paying all that attention either. His mind was focused on his current project.

"Well..um..you like to paint?." she asked, awkwardly. She was holding her song writer's notebook and it was opened to a song she wrote called, Love is Painful. She wiped her eyes slightly since she hadn't stopped crying.
