Frostpaw purred and gave Juniperpaw a strange look. "I'm not killing anybody," he mewed. "We're just going to harass them a bit." He stopped, realizing they were nearly right on top of the border. "Oh, we're here, guys." He sniffed the air, also noticing fresh RiverClan scent. Then, his ears pricked as a rustling noise came from the other side of the border. "Hey, I think we're hear just in time!" he meowed softly, turning to his companions.

Fiercepaw was at the back of the group, her head turned away from the cats that she was with. She wasn't in the mood for a talk. She wanted to be alone. But she had come along only to check to see if the borders were good. She rolled her golden eyes as Stonefoot finished his story telling. Leave it to the elders to do that.

Fiercepaw's eyes suddenly whipped towards the direction of the border. A growl escaped her lips before she could stop it. She halted in her steps and sniffed again. Yep, definetly fresh Shadowclan scent. She turned to the other cats in the group. "Quiet! There's some Shadowclan cats at the border. It's no coincidence that we're here at the same time. Keep alert and let's see what they want." She instructed. She knew she was only an apprentice, but she had lived as a rogue long enough to be able to take control.

Stagnight looked towards the geese, then back at Meadowpaw and Shadestorm "We should kill one, It'll be good practice and maybe it'll make them stay away from our territory" He said in a hushed tone, quirking a brow. They came here, they might as well do something besides marking the border.

(The patrol is due today so I asked for more time and we have until the 31st)

Shadestorm gave a short nod, still focusing
on the birds, he didn't like that the other warrior
kinda took over for a moment but it was the same
idea that Shadestorm had had some whatever.
"Stagnight, go there encase it tries to flee"
he mewed and singled out one goose that stood for
it self under a few trees, it was in a place where it
would have trouble flying away due to the low trees
and it shouldn't be mush trouble catching and
killing it.
"Meadowpaw..." he mewed, his voice
slightly dragged out as he tried to think of something for
his apprentice to be busy with while he fought the bird.
"Climb up there and kill it if it comes your way." It
wouldn't, the tree where he was pointing to was in a place
where Meadowpaw would see him and the goose clearly but not do
anything, except perhaps pick up something from watching
him fight. "And I'll go and kill it" he mewed with a swish
of his tail and began to stalk towards his new prey.

Disappointment flashed in Meadowpaw's eyes, and she scowled resentfully. Why couldn't she help? Stalking over to the tree, she climbed up it and sat on the top branch rebelliously. As if her mentor would care. As if he would tell her it was too dangerous. Resting her head on her paws, mouth twisted in an expression of anger. Maybe if it came close, she would actually get the chance to prove herself.

Stupid warriors, thought they were so cool. Her fur bristled. She could kill a goose just as good as they could! An idea popped into her head, and she grinned. Maybe she could prove herself! Jumping down from branch to branch, she hit the ground light, then rolled in the pine-needles and leaf litter, disguising her scent. Creeping forward to a bush not far from the geese, she felt herself tingle with excitement.

Now, all she had to do was wait.

Silver darted around the borderline. Never once crossing into river clan, staying either in her clan or in neutral land. With the recent fights between the clans, there were extra warriors making sure that no one tested the already fragile peace.

As Meadowpaw stalked towards the tree Shadestorm
dropped down and began to grep towards the goose
without waiting for Stagnight to get in position, as long
as the other warrior was quiet in his movements it wouldn't
mater. He took a few steps more, gently placing his paws down
as not to step on any dry leaves or breakable sticks before
crouching down into a good position and prepared his leap when his apprentice...

Meadowpaw, low to the ground, knew she was in a good position to pounce. It was a fact, she would be able to get the job done. She had never had training on this, but Buzzardpaw taught her everything she needed. Raising herself from the ground slightly, she quickened her pace, then began running, flying over the ground and jumped at the goose. It squawked and flapped it's wings, trying to peck at her, but she landed opposite side of it, then pounced at it's thin black neck, grabbing hold of it and biting down hard. It felt to the ground, jerking... dying.

Eyes wide, she dropped the neck, looking down at the lifeless body. She had killed something. A life had ended because of her. It was going to end anyways.... but still... Looking to the two toms, almost apologetically, she lowered her eyes. They might yell at her now. Remembering Buzzardpaw's words, she hardened her gaze, and tried to forget all the regret and horror she was feeling.

Shadestorm glared at Meadowpaw, fuming with anger at both her and
her actions. Not only had she gone against the orders she'd gotten,
she'd outright disrespected him by killing the bird he would have caught
when he had expressly told her to watch from the tree and not participate, or
to kill it if it came close but it was basically the same thing in this situation.

"What were you thinking?!" he snarled, not caring that he might be
over reacting just a little bit. "I told you to stay in the tree and watch,
not to come here and mess up the plan!" He could hear the voice trying
to calm him down or something but ignored it, it wasn't time right now.
"I'm your mentor, the leader of this patrol and a warrior while you're an
apprentice. You listen to ME and do as I say! Understood?" The last words
came out as a rage-fluid hiss as he stalked towards her and fixated his icy blue
gaze at her. he stood silent for a moment, not expecting an answer, just to give
his words more effect before picking up the now dead goose and turning back
towards the camp. The rest of the geese had flown up in alarm when the spotted
the patrol and, even though some had seemed like the wanted to get even they had
soon all risen and soared towards some other place, hopefully Windclan, so the patrol
was done. "Let's head back" he growled and began to stalk back home without
looking if the others followed, the large bird in a tight grip in him mouth.
