Mistypaw was dozing in the clearing, annoyed by the fact that she didn't have anything to do. Couldn't she become a warrior already? It was really annoying to not be able to go out of camp without a warrior. Sure, in the past she'd broken that rule way too many times, but it was time to make a change and get her training done. Her new mentor was Birdsnow, which was really good - she was sure her best friend would help her get her training done in time or at least her assesment. At the same time, she was deputy and busy, so perhaps she should go ask someone else.. If she remembered correctly, only thing she needed was land hunting. Last time I started with Hazelstorm and now she's gone, like everyone else. Perhaps she should go ask someone? The freshkill pile seemed pretty full though..
As if her wish had been somehow heard, she looked up to see Ripplepelt calling her name and asking her if she was free for some hunting. The depressed shecat forced herself to smile. "No, Birdsnow hasn't assigned me anything, I'm free. I'd love to go hunting," she meowed.

"Great! I hope you don't mind some land hunting," she mewed, stretching out her front legs. "The river level has been a little lower than usual, so I don't know that we'd have much luck fishing." Ripplepelt waited for Mistypaw to stand up, then padded out of the clearing.

Mistypaw nodded. "Yeah, I wouldn't mind land hunting," she mewed, getting up and following Ripplepelt out of camp. Where were they going? There was one emotion she hadn't felt in a while - excitement. It was nice to finally get caught up to the other apprentices and learn something new. She knew the crouch already, she just hadn't practiced it on animals.

Charredpaw re-entered the clearing nervously. He was conflicted emotionally. Was what he had done good or bad?! He couldn't tell. Smolderpaw, on the other hand, was sitting calmly on a rock and stretching occasionally.
Frostpaw was parkour-style climbing around the clearing.

Ew, gross, gross gorss. Adderpaw really couldn't believe she was holding this. A pelt of another cat. This seemed brutal honestly. Yet here the shecat was, dragging this. If anyone saw here, which no doubt others did, they would think she had gone off the deep end. Eventually Adderpaw was able to find where Larkstar was and dropped the pelt down by her feet. "First off, this is nasty and I'm very sorry. Secondly, no I didn't do this." Adderpaw wanted to throw herself in a river to clean herself, but no water could free her from this. "That rogue... Snail... No Snake I think they called her, came by our territory while I was on a nice walk and dropped this by me? I screamed and hissed at the rogue to run and was ready to take an ear off but she--" Adderpaw dry heaved for a moment thinking about the pelt and its... taste... "Ran off like a coward.." Hold it together Adder, don't throw up in front of your leader. "Not really sure why I just didn't bring you to it..." She took a deep breath. "I think that rogue has a weird attraction to Riverclan.... Probably wants us to think she fit for us... But" She heaved again. "I don't really want to sleep next to someone who does-" And then the apprentice moved to a nearby bush to throw up.. "That.." Adderpaw said after freeing her stomach and looking meek."At least Zepper is dead" She tried to look on the bright side.

Smolderpaw heard the words and padded over. "Charredpaw told me that dead guy's name. Zephyr. It means wind, from what I've heard. It's something from some other language apparently.."
