“Let’s Get Ready.” [ RIVERCLAN BATTLE TRAINING EVENT ]

Up first again. Redwater stood in the center of camp, digging her claws viciously into the soft dirt. Nothing would be right ever again, would it? The worst part was her Clanmates acted like nothing was wrong. Like everything was normal. Like Fadedshade and Willowheart hadn’t vanished. like three innocent cats hadn’t died at he paws of WindClan. Red straightened up and sucked in her breath. She had to do something. She wouldn’t just stand here, without training. Without getting ready for what’s to come.

“‘Ey!” Redwater shouted, letting her anger leak into her voice. “Get up lazybones!” RiverClan began peering blearily through the entrances of their comfy dens. “It’s time for us to get ready for this!” confusion. Of course! Her Clanmates had fish-eggs for brains.

“What’s this?” She rolled her eyes. “You heard Twilightstar! WindClan’s gonna come for us. You wanna die? No? Then I’d recommend getting up, getting ready, and training! Wow. They weren’t ready for this. ”I’ma get you all into pairs. You’ll practice moves, and I’ll supervise. This is a competitive event! You will try to win! Or are you to weak? Is RiverClan going to sink? No!” Redwater grinned when her Clanmates echoed her. “So let’s get ready.”

Hiya friends! If you listened to what Redwater said, you are aware that I—she is hosting a battle event. More like a competition. Because Red’s the most competitive cat like ever. So Here’s Everything You Need To Know.

This is NOT mandatory! It’s just some fun to get your cats nice and ready for the inevitable battle to come.

How it works:

You will post your character coming up to Redwater and saying something around the lines of: “Hey, I’m ready to join!” Or something before 3:00 EST on the 26th of May if you want to join. (Latecomers (joining after 3:00) will not be sorted in) (Yeah.) MAKE SURE THE POST IS SHORT. Please mention me IN ONLY THIS POST.

After that, I will organize everyone into pairs, into brackets etc, and whoever wins in the A bracket will fight the winner of the B bracket and the winner of that will… Win.

You will roll a d20 roll.
(You can find a d20 on Google or other browsers by searching ‘Roll a d20!”) If over 10, its SUCCESS! You get one successful hit on your enemy.
If 10 and under, it’s a FAIL. Your move was unsuccessful and… well you FAIL.
This will go on until each character has rolled 5 times.
Whoever had more successful rolls will move on. The other will be eliminated. Each eliminated character will talk to the others and may practice on their own.

Double swipe — Over 10
Dive-under-Flip-over — over 12
Pin-down — Over 13
Single swipe — over 10
Push-off (counterattack for pin-down) — over 13
[NOTE: you don’t have to use these moves! They are just a recommendation, your cat an have their own moves or others I didn’t include!]

Make sure to mention your opponent in every battle. You do not need to mention me in any other post except your starter.

Be kind and helpful, and don’t get to carried away.

Only Warriors, Apprentices, Medicine Cats (if they wish) and Non-Expecting Queens will participate! Any Kit found participating will be sent back to camp.

Remember,
It isn’t mandatory to participate! Just make sure if you join that your character’s claws are sheathed and you help others learn. Thank you!

Splashgaze nodded her head, though did not like the idea of being called lazy. She let it slide simply because the warrior was right, they needed to do something to prepare. Splashgaze bounded over to Redwater, acknowledging her in a respectful way.

"I would like to join,"

In all modesty, she probably needed this extra training. Splashgaze's skills with fighting only came so far, though she was decent at it. Splashgaze was better at hunting, fishing to be exact, and it was her forte. Not so much fighting.
