Scorpionsight padded into the Thunderglade. She wasn’t sure why she was here, but she still, despite how long she had been in the clans by now, wasn’t as comfortable with it as her brother. She just needed some air.

Raggedear sniffed in annoyance as he padded along the border. He hadn't meant to wander this far, but after his unsuccessful hunt, he had decided to take a walk to calm himself down. The tom was a fighter, through and through, but hunting? He could do it, but he struggled. His large frame made him more prone to brush against things and alert his prey of his presence. He sighed, taking in a deep breath right after to help calm his thoughts.

As he took in his breath, a strong, musky scent caught his attention. 'WindClan! He thought to himself, hackles raised. However, the smell wasn't strong enough to be a whole patrol...Raggedear didn't immediately spring into action. The warrior crept forward, trying his best to make sure he didn't brush up against or step on anything that might alert the intruder. Slowly, Raggedear could see a WindClan she-cat coming into sight. He opened his jaws again to scent the air. She was definitely alone...and she was still on her side of the border.

Regardless, Raggedear sprang out, pelt fluffed out. "Who are you? What are you doing here?" He asked, not even bothering to hide his suspicious tone.

The she-cat froze for a moment when she heard another cat.
Was she so in her own head that she hadn’t scented him.
She was still on the WindClan side right?
Yes, she was, okay.
Now to explain why she was so close in the first place.
“Sorry…um, for being so close to the border..” Scorpionsight said “I was just getting some air, the clan felt crowded… my name is Scorpionsight.”

The tom gave Scorpionsight a quizzical look at her quick apology. 'What kind of warrior apologizes that quickly? Inside their own border, no less.' He thought to himself, looking her up and down with renewed interest. "The name is Raggedear." He replied curtly, moving to sit with his tail wrapped around his paws. "Crowded by your Clan?" Raggedear echoed, head tilting. "Typically people would go for a hunt if they wanted time away."

His words were laced with slight hostility, as the warrior was still wary of this lone WindClan cat, but his gaze remained curious. "Don't you have Clanmates who will wonder where you've gone?"

Her ear twitched at the mention of someone who would worry “My brother may, but he will understand when I explain.” She explained.

"Still adjusting?" He asked incredulously. "What- were you a kittypet?" The question, although insensitive, was not meant to be a jeer. Raggedear eyes betrayed nothing but genuine curiousity, although he couldn't help but wonder what would possess WindClan to take in not one, but two kittypets.

Scorpionsight was quiet for a moment.
Raggedear didn’t seem hostile in any way, as long as she stayed on the right side of the border.
“Yes, I guess that is the word that is used.” She answered “It wasn’t… the most pleasant, so we left.”
She wouldn’t give all the details.
Especially to a cat she just met.
But, he seemed trustworthy enough to say at least a few things, if he asked.

Raggedear's eyes narrowed at her lack of information, but he did not press it. Besides, at least it showed she had some smarts not to give out information to enemy Clans. He looked at her closely again, studying as if to see if she was lying. However...he couldn't help but notice she was a pretty she-cat...

He shook his head, giving his chest fur a few licks to hide his embarrassment at the thought. "Well, I'm sure with the help of your Clanmates you'll find your place soon enough." He meowed gruffly, still trying to keep up his tough demeanor. "Though why you'd pick to stay with those rabbit-chasers, I don't know." He shrugged.

“They were the first ones we found.” She said, getting less and less nervous as she spoke to this cat “I’m sure your’s is lovely too, I’m glad we’ll be on the same side with… the upcoming invasion on RiverClan.”
She didn’t like the idea of it, the idea of driving out the other Clan. But, from what Twilightstar had said, they seemed like they needed a fresh start.

Raggedear felt a gleam of pride as Scorpionsight said that about his Clan. "We are pretty great." He acknowledged, puffing out his chest. "Yes...that." At the mention of the RiverClan invasion, the warrior looked uneasy. He was not pleased about Bumblestar's decision regarding the RiverClan deserters, but he would never directly disobey her orders. The tom straightened his shoulders, digging his claws into the ground. "I'm going to rip their pelts off." He said with a low snarl.

Raggedear looked the she-cat up and down again. "You have a warrior name, which makes it appear as if you can probably fight, but did WindClan really train a kittypet?"
