Drip…drip…….drip blinking awake to the noise of dripping water the gray tom stretched and yawned. His surroundings still hazy he found the strength to push himself up to a sitting position. Having had no food for a day he was practically starved…luckily having been taught to steal from the bins he was born around. Gail waving behind him as he struggled to remember exactly where he was and where he wanted to go. If he was going to be completely honest he was really just following the setting sun every night. Shaking the thoughts from his head George got to his feet and crept out of the box he had slept in for so many moons. I’m tired of repeating the same old life….I won’t to…I don’t know. glancing at the setting sun and the first few stars that began to peek out he took the first step out of the alleyway. All I hope is that what and where I’m going will lead to a better place.
