Deep in the Outskirts, one may hear humming. A light sound, barely there, only for those listening closely. If one were to follow the sweet sound, they may come upon a chimera feline sitting in a clearing. They sat surrounded by mushrooms, holding their head high to the sky as they hummed. If this cat heard one approach, they showed no sign of acknowledgement. Instead, they continued to hum. One may feel as though they were being watched, with no eyes to be watching- those eyes hidden beneath grey fluff.

After multiple passing moments, this feline may slowly turn, a grin pulling at their lips. They stood, body fully turning toward their visitor before giving a languid stretch. Almost lazy, yet holding a confident air to it.

"Mmmh, I must greet those I encounter, yes?" they asked after a while, voice soft and breathy as though it hadn't been used in moons, "Ahh, have you approached to learn of the Light? They will be glad to receive a new Believer, yes..." Their grin widened at the mention of this 'Light'. This cat appeared thoughtful for a moment, looking as though they were listening to someone talking even as silence stretched on.

"Oh, yes, yes, They are right. So very rude of me to withhold my identity as a Messenger of the Light... ah, you may refer to me as Haven. They welcome your presence." As Haven spoke, they dipped their head, stump of a tail lazily swaying behind them.

Rush

He hadn't expected the cat to speak. Honestly, after his earlier adventure, he'd been doing his best to avoid scary experiences, spooky cats, all that jazz. In all honestly, he had been so surprised when the plan continued, that Rush straight up left, not bothering to get his payment. Bro, that whole situation had been crazy, but he'd come out of it no worse for wear, just slightly offended. Still, coming across a humming figure had caused him to stop his wandering and step closer, stomping through the clearing until he was only a few meters behind the stranger.

He felt like they were staring right at him, but that was impossible. This guy was turned around, humming their eery little tune and surrounded by mushrooms. Creepy. Why had he felt drawn in? Perhaps this one could help him out, give Rush a few pointers in the direction of his twolegden. His earlier companion had been of no help and he was still horribly lost. He stopped moving as the cat before him began to stand, massive orange frame frozen in stark contrast to the greens and browns of the forest. They had no eyes? Where were their eyes?

It only got worse when they began to talk. "Yo." A new believer? Huh? Why was he constantly surrounded by cats who'd lost their marbles? Literally, all three of them were off their rockers. Not Rush of course, Rush was stable. He looked around, trying to see who they were talking to. "Bro, who are you talking to?" The Light? Huh? Still, he didn't feel like he was in danger, so dull eyes stared with curiosity as the stumpy tailed folk began to talk again. "Cool. Cool. Tell them I said thanks." Haven was a weird name, but certainly better than that of their previous aquaintance. Bro hadn't even given him their name. But still, who were they? "I'm Rush." Weird.
